Corner Bay to Juneau with Ward Air 1990s
Thanks for posting. Worked there in mid 90s, nice to see old footage.
I bought the land this cabins on
No lightweight anything back then 😅
I know Rosco, he was my bullbuck when I worked for Silver Bay, I quit falling timber in 1998. Great to see and old friend.
I love nothing more than liquid chicken in the morning. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . No i do not.
Mmmmmm ovulated egg
Goodmorning
Mad lad
He looks scared
Where is this. ..?
Good
Got a gem of a 64 and 288 from this era…all they do is cut…hard many hrs…melted brake off 288 and kept cuttin…on my Alaskan mill at moment…great footage
Mom got dad our 1st stihl that yr and still runs like a top…026
Is the Stihl Av 075 used that period?.
Looked like a beautiful 064 or early 066. The last of the great saws before the EPA reared its ugly head and began interfering in our lives and ruining saws
Jackasses. Hope they learned something after this. Don't expect any holding from a rotten corner.
What size bar
I owned and operated a house moving company since 1972 (I am 73 years old and lived safe enough to talk about it). The last thing I would ever have done is stick my face up close to a big hydraulic jack under pressure. I have seen to many jacks kick out from under house moving beams ! Gary in Michigan
Tree "felling"... You're welcome
Back when we had some really good running 066 ! Nice work men !
Thought the 66 didnt come until late 90’s
Probably 064
Logging crew from Newfoundland? Never would've used hydraulic jacks 70 years ago. Ferfuksake
1990
I was in Edna bay in 92 for the summer visiting my grandfather he was running an 084 I do believe.
sheesh i am on this dock at corner bay everyday - all day this week - sooo cool to see this buddy
You’ll have that in a small town with no sheriff.
Silver Bay Logging Was really an incredible company. It was huge, with lots of top notch specialized people. Unfortunately this would turn out to be it’s downfall. The company got so big it started eating itself with the help of the ever unstable timber market. A real shame in my opinion.
So there out of business now or what happened?
Some really beautiful country. I would really like to have the cylinder off that saw to study. I’m betting it had a nice square exhaust port top and bottom with great timing all the way around. I have a very specimen of a 064 with extensive machine and port work. Love 1122 and 1128 saws. Great video of the good ole days.👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Love the vintage film. Wish there was more of falling back in the day.
And your face was way too small
Your back cut is clearly lower than the face
You guys butchered that one
Cool, can never have enough Beavers
Now your a timber faller now?
Opinions vary
Why does Toyota insist on making their car sound like a microwave oven buzzer?
this is cool!
I was a BMW mechanic and the xenon HID used over 20,000 volts to jump the gap. It is not the voltage that will kill you, it is the amps.
god i remember that year jesus snow bloody everywhere!
nice ,but what were you trying to tell us?.?
Good vid
Video is out of sync with audio. Makes no sense.
@memback01 Did you really think I ment that? Lol :D
@sIkLe94 No shit its fake its commercial.....wtf you expect everything you see on youtube to be real????
i dont get it ..... where is the deep snow we had more in edmonton alberta!!!
does anyone know of anyone building a solid wood wall or house using 2x4 or 2x6 dimensional lumber? I think that 2x4s could be stacked flat on eac other like a log house and just nailed one to the next perhaps a verticle nailled into openings . Same for the roof and floor over doubled up joists. Then mabey a flat sod roof. e-mail me if you know of something done like this or have sugestions about it. bryncomeaux@yahoo.com thanks
I left Juneau in 2005...This would have been fun. Footage brought back a lot of great memories of the city!
