At the time, I had decided to step away from streaming and speedrunning while working on IRL stuff, and I had lost dozens of runs on record pace in the preceding weeks. Everyone I watch do these speed runs is playing a version that’s in all Asian language. Is it a different version?
There's 2 usual reasons. 1. With games made in Japan, the American/European versions usually get released later with glitches fixed and usually this leads to skips or timesaves being fixed. 2. Japanese is a more compact language than English so any time text pops up one character at a time, Japanese text goes by faster. With Megaman 2, it's the 2nd reason because those weapon screens after each level add up like crazy
At the best of my abilities I could do 1 hour runs hahaha. This guys are amazing

You know you could kill Crashman with 1 shot of air blast, timing needs to be perfect but you could save yourself a few seconds. I couldn't always do it on the PAL version in the UK.
MM2 is the most Hard Rockin Metal MegaMan they ever made.

Just watched the salt video, that 26:26 potential.... man it seems like you didn't fully celebrate this record with that run still on your mind but I'm sure you will get it, it's still in you it just needs waking up. You give me inspiration to chase my own goals with running the 5K, I'm yet to run as fast as I was in shape a couple years ago but your grind motivates me to keep trying. Acheiving a goal there is no other feeling, a new PB lasts for weeks I could only try to imagine how it must feel holding a WR in something like this.

Collect all in-game shiny items category? 🫥 Could call it 100% category. Couldn’t find it on the mega man leaderboard, if such category exists. Been playing with it for a while. Had a nice route and some effed up stuff. It has everything a speedrunner loves. Plus no set route. I have my own route, but i wont discuss that because i want to see if speedrunner brains think alike. Thank you for reading.

I wish you still streamed. I am a pool player and the way and amount I practice is very similar to speed running video games. I will always remember something you said one time in regards to trying to beat records or achieve greatness and it was “not to rush it” excellent advice man, I guess I just wanted to say thx and wish you would stream again

Look for the wr in the category you prefer, leave people who decide to run any% do their thing.
any% ? You do you. I'll do me. That's where skill comes to play.
You don't know what any% means and didn't even bother Googling it. Any argument is pointless.
Then look at glitchless runs and find something to whine about there

Except it does count since all it's about is getting from the start to the end as fast as possible. If you want zipless runs, look at one.

Do you play this on an NES and CRT TV?
He plays an original Rockman 2 cartridge on an AV Famicom and surprisingly he plays it on a small flat screen TV which he says has a short enough input lag. I don't know if there's any other top NES speedrunner who plays on a flat screen TV, he might be the only one. Not recommended, but whatever works! (source: his livestream)
