So Deep❤
Y’all are SLEEPING on the oboe solo. It was beautiful!
wHAT A WONDERFUL rendition by orchestra ...under the guidance of the conductor...it is ORGANIC unfolding of the majestic finale ...broadness ...growing out of the berceuse with its magical atmosphere...one of the BEST i ve heard...
Stravinsky = Genius!
This is probably my favorite interpretation of this piece’s INCREDIBLE dynamic range. I love the clarity of the horn line at 3:47, I’ve heard so many modern conductors muddle it into the strings, and it needs to stand out. Not every choice needs to be unique, some just need to be good.
Amazing interpretation.❤❤❤❤❤
I listen this final many years ago in the museum Calouste Gulbenkian here in Portugal. I had this piece in my head for long time.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Majestic. Do the musicians pick the instruments or do the instruments pick the musicians ?
Nuts to the idiotic shields between the players

This is so beautiful. Stavinsky was capable of creating very simple and elegant pieces like this - as well as more complex ones, that I dont like nor understand much.

Only 18 years old and above will allow you to play, Government Warning: Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health
The guy who caughs during the horn solo deserves a death condamnation
Yeah idd terrible dissonance
Why? Why? Why caugh over the isolated and defenseless horn solo. Go caugh over the tutti, the tympanii, whatever. Not over a lonely flute, oboé or fagot.
I got 2nd trumpet for this when we played it a year ago, it’s still one of my favorite pieces
That trombone crescendo at @6:19 sounded so good!!
Our symphony played it for a music concert at Disney you might of heard of called Disney and this song managed to get us 1st place!
For me the most amazing and moving seven plus minutes of music ever composed....tears every time
Absolutely beautiful
I played this music and I got first chair French horn and I was worried I was going to mess up the solo but once I heard the orchestra I felt relieved 😅
I understand how you felt , several times I got chosen to solo the violin, although it wasn't this song
Outstanding !!!!!

The French horn solo in this piece kills me every time. Majestic
like from another planet
It's a privilege to get to play it
Wonderful 🎉 conductor
there's a feeling at 1:18 that I can't get from anything else
Same here. I get a BURST of goosebumps/ chills from head to toes when I hear those lush chords full of emotion.
Have you ever heard Ravel's Tombeau de Couperin?. There's a solo piano version and an orchestral arrangement. Listen to the prelude for the orchestral arrangement. This, the transition between the II and III movements in Shostakovich's Symphony no. 7 and the syncope on bar 73 of Poco piu vivo in Stravinsky's Pulcinella are some of my favorite moments in orchestral music.
I know what you mean. That feeling during the Berceuse in The Firebird. I remember that yearning dreamy feeling on my first listen. I think it's the Russian influence. A different way of approaching harmony and orchestration. Every harmonic line melts right into the next.
People can joke about the triangle, but that was pretty intense at the end there!
Amazing!
I played triangle for this piece in high school before I learned how to tune properly for Timpani and it literally changed my life
I dream of guesting on triangle for this piece.

Heartfelt Ravel - He made his nieces proud, Bye for now love Alan👨🏫️
As it was meant to be played. Beautifully performed.
Exelente
That applause was too quiet
But a perfectly timed cough.
@@spikespa5208that cough was infuriating. Was there a mic right on her??
