A little late to this video, but you explained it so well. I'm so tired of the tortured artist trope. We tend to romanticize suffering, as if that's what makes life beautiful. It's a part of it, and feeling those deep emotions can be a catalyst to create, but don't writhe in it. Personally, I've found that the most impactful art/artists are the ones who have a deep connection to the human experience on a whole - not just the misery. I'm so ready for this trope to die.

This video actually caused me a great deal of stress as it prevented me from exercising on a joyous walk around the greater Nashville metropolitan area seeing as I had to wait for the self proclaimed “Becksworld”
