I got this issue recently too! But it was because I went from Serato lite to Serato Pro. I didn't install the drivers correctly. This happened to me at the worst time during one of my events! I would try reinstalling serato.

I’m fully convinced this guy bought the wrong equipment for his style. The platters hooked you, but seriously …. Two sheets of parchment paper from moms kitchen solves the slip mat clutching. It’s only been a thing for 40+ years. Instant doubles also keeps the dj focused on the primary deck. You bought a Ferrari expecting it to take the family to the grocery store.

you should get little plastic cut outs to make it slide better you can cut the plastic from the plastic that came in the box

Put a CD and a round paper towel under the vinyl.

Turn the slip pads upside down they work 100 percent better.

If you take the slip mat and install it upside down you will get less tension and better feel on the vinyl.

If you take the rane slip mate and you install it upside down you will get a much better feel on the vinyl. You’re welcome.

CD’s work great to put under your plates.

Get different slip mates or make your own.

The touch strips are a total waste of space and time, I feel even on the Rane 12s. I agree ☝️

I connected my Numark Platinum in my laptop top and it went crazy , all the lights on the controller were flashing on and off . Was I doing something wrong or is it just defective?

there is a firmware update for that controller a Numark's website but I have some issues with the same controller but I use Virtual DJ

I feel ya on the button layout. As much as I love Serato for scratching on point 👉 I prefer Virtual DJ, so I can remap my buttons via scripting. Ideally I can move those buttons without physically moving buttons. My issue is wheres the crossfader kill button?

I have the same issue with the tension. I only could get like 1/4 turn of backspin. I got a tip to loosen the screw on the control vinyl to loosen the tightness off the spindle. It helped but the slip mats suck. Maybe I’ll try these other tips on the comments

You right about scratching! It’s great to use it but them blends is where it’s at and keep the people on the dance floor!!! Thanks for your video! I think imma wait until the 2nd version to come out! Way too many Dj’s saying the same thing about this unit!!!!

i think you are right! instead, yes put the select button in the middle. take out that touch strip, instead replace it with the wave form display with bpm counter, like what you see with pioneer disc platter. make the platter full size, make it 4 channel mixer and add more effects! thanks, my honest request!

Great honest review...applicable to real world DJ community. With that said...why did u purchase this...obviously targeted for turntablist and/or scratch DJs. Compared to DDJ 1000 and/or SRT; which are more towards club DJs and/or mixologist...and less cost then the Rand 1.

my Denon Sc5000m's felt like what you explained. so i bought some butter rugs & problem solved. also i loved what you said about djs whole scratch all through the damm night. ive said the same thing you said in a few dj groups on fb and lots of djs were madd at me LOL i said nobody cares about you scratching all day night besides other djs lol

Put a cd under the slip mat.

Had mines over 1wk now. Def. Right about the platters. At that price point platters should've been tested thoroughly.

It seems like we got ours the same day! 😂 I got mine Friday!! I've been having fun with it! I love it! But the lack of sampler volume is trash. Also they could have put some kind of display on the controller to show something like tempo.. Otherwise it's One hell of a controller, pun intended! 😂
