finally back to charting, have been busy with stuff and not have the time/motivation to make these. I have been getting some requests as of lately and i have tried them all but some just dont go through to make a finalized chart. Thanks! I connected my kit to my computer via USB B. That way it works as a MIDI controller in my DAW (Logic Pro X) and from there i used EZDrummer 2 (today i use Addictive Drums 2).

This is actually a really good chart, though there is a different pattern at 3:04 that's being used than whats been transcribed. Amazing work on this chart nonetheless. If anything, do you have any tips when it comes down to charting?

@@RthereNEusernames Nah, if you listen carefully to the hi-hat, the drummer is carefully adding Doubles to the groove which makes for an interesting sounding beat. I've seen the music video and the live video of this section and it's different from what's charted. Even when the snares hit, its a flam between the cymbals and the Snare in this section.
@@longview3k69 Ahhh I see! You're right, I just went and watched that black and white drum cam of Joey. It's almost like double ghost notes on the hi-hat while he's hitting ghost notes on the snare lol. Christ that is impressive. Good catch!
Yeah, i charted this one without looking at drum cam, which is a pretty good tip to do for charting which i do as of late. A good tip if you use EOF to chart is to press F5 which gives you the audio frequencies (i think?) which makes it easier to distinguish where the bass and snare hits are. Otherwise you just gotta listen a lot and look for a lot of detail, generally for my charts i prioritize them being correctly transcribed instead of being fun to play, as i did not intend for most of these to be played via phase shift and such.
@@Sulfur81 I didn't know you could look at frequencies with F5. I was using REAPER back when Rock Band Network was around and chart some stuff for my own but stopped when RB died. I tried EOF a little while ago but didn't have the time to learn it but I will get into it soon. Love your charts

dude how did you record your yamaha drums through your computer? Thanks
Its actually a roland drum set, and i plug my drums with a USB 2.0 Type B Input, following a cable and plugging a normal usb input to my computer (So you want to look at a cable with USB 2.0 Type B at one end, a normal USB at the other). Also if you have a yamaha set, this may differ, check the outputs on your drum brain to see what USB outputs are on it. To record, you a need a digital audio workstation (DAW), its music software that usually costs money but there are some free alternatives such as garageband if u use mac, dont know any examples for windows. In the DAW, you can use ur drums as a MIDI controller to trigger samples, most likely the built in drum samples in ur DAW, but in this video i use the plug-in Ezdrummer2, which again costs money (music is expensive). I honestly dont know how you record just the sounds coming through ur drum brain, but this is how i do it. Hope that helps :)
