SHINEE <3
What are the names of the songs?
did you have a host family when you were there?
What happened to your school in America? How did you take leave and what about the exams, and yearlies and stuff?
In the first couple weeks, how did you get past the language barrier? How did you learn Korean?
Some people try to learn basic Korean before becoming an exchange student in South Korea but most countries also have programs to help you learn the language. Also, when being surrounded by native speakers all the time, you eventually start to just catch on.
This is super late but, what kind of level do you have to be at to be an exchange student? I'm only in the Applied kind of level and I'm wondering if I gotta be...you know, not in AP.
SHINee forever! You so lucky! How can you be a foreign exchange student,
Elizabeth Hornbuckle YFU, I'm hoping to go to South Korea :)
I want to be an exchange student in south korea and audition to Sm/Yg Entertainment. Has anyone know how any programs in philippines??
Hi there so im looking into an exchange program in Korea Is the program you used a good one I would love to get the information if thats okay
OMG SOME CUTE KOREAN BOYS IN THIS VIDEO I NEED TO MOVE
I'm thinking about going to South Korea, but the only thing I'm worried about is learning the language. What was that part like for you?
Hey, when in South Korea, did you have to sign up for an afterschool activity or no? I'm wondering if Exchange Students have to do one as well since their native students are required to.
In Korea you are supposed to do a specific time of volunteer work. Especially if you're in middle school or high school. I'm in middle school and I have to do 160 hours or so... It's hard, but you HAVE to do it so you get credit to pass that grade. Hopefully this helped you to understand';)
Okay. Thanks!!! :)
What is the first song ? :O ... Good Job <3 LoveKorea <3
"A-yo" by SHINee :)
thx :D
Can you tell me about the differences of studying in Korea and America? Like how hard it is to what level? Thank you! Your video was very nice!
so i was wondering if there are anythings to worry about when being an exchange student in korea? because i was wanting to try it but i want reference from someone who has already done it.

What program did you use?
YFU, youth for understanding
+WhyHelloKorea I'm going to go in Korea with YFU (I'm Italian), do you recommend it?
I definitely would Sydney! I ended up going for the summer exchange in 2014 and loved it. But, I know that other people in the program had mixed reviews, it depends on what you make of it really!
haha I loved orientation week! for my group we didn't get to go to the korean war memorial museum but we did go to the world cup stadium. you all ate at the same restaurant for lunch though! ahh good memories :)
Thats AWESOME!! congrats!! :D
GUESS WHAT! I just submitted my RYE application to spend next year in Korea! I'm so excited
Whaoooo... that is really something which you will miss for your entire life...:) hp you'll gt the happyness back :)
Living in Korea is just very different. Its nice, not better necessarily. I'm from Wisconsin in the U.S.

I used my ipod, my phone and a sony DSC- HX9V
Baby Dont cry
While I was there a boy in a school in the town over committed suicide actually. It is a big problem, nothing an exchange student generally has to worry about though. I would not recommend to go with YFU though, they aren't a good program in Korea.
ME TOO.
Thank you!!! :)
Thank you :))))
i want to to koreaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!:'(
Hello, I just saw this video and it looks like you had a lot of fun! :) I want to go to Korea too, and I already talked to people of YFU so I'd actually be able to, my mom isn't against it as well but at the other side I'm worried. I heard that the mobbing in Korea is a well...big thing, as well as students that kill themself...I just want to ask you, what are your experiences, can you tell me about it please? Thank you a lot :)
the second song is FT Island's I hope :P
I just know the first one is Ayo by SHINee, but i'm not sure of the second one
What's the camera that you used for your videos?
What's the song that was play from the beginning and the end :))))) Veryy good picture!!!
What's the ftisland song?
I wish my school had a rooftop. Sobs.
Studying abroad is really really difficult. It definitely isn't for everyone- and yeah girls can be mean. But its a huge learning experience and can be a lot of fun too. It depends how you go about it; you have to pick you're battles. Dont worry about your studies though- exchange students dont actually have to study. Its impossible.
it must have been a great experience!! seems like you had a lot of fun! it makes me want to go to Korea too...
*studying would be too difficult/stressful
Hey Francis, I go to a weekly korean class in my state (in the US) and when I tell my teacher (who is native korean) that I want to study abroad in highschool she is totally against it. She says that the studying would be too fun, and that the kids, especially girls, can be really mean to others, and to me. What is your argument against this? Thank you! :D
great video! i see a girl in your clip and i think she also have some clips about korea!
i love you and i love this!! i seriously cannot explain how much i love your videos. i hope you can see this comment! i am from Australia and planning to go to Korea for a year in 2015. I cannot honestly wait. i was just wondering how much spending money would you think is enough to take to korea? if you have facebook could you please add me i would love to talk to you about the whole experience. My name is Somayeh Sarvari. ill be honest i did cry in some of your videos :(
i agree with shey. 2 vids from my fav youtubers.
Dude we must be freaking psychic. Uploading videos at the same time
I couldn't help but sing along XD
I saw this video where you and another girl were talking about life in korea and you said you were from wisconsin and im from wisconsin too so i was wondering what program you used to get to korea and how much it cost and how you got in
hello i saw your interview with keri and i wanted to know did you choose your korean name (you said it was Yeji) and did you use your last name (I'm not asking for it if you're creeped out)? did you ever have trouble with applications or things if you did use your name (assuming it's longer than one syllable). Thanks so much, and yes i'm aware it's unrelated to your video but i assumed you'd most likely see my question here than if i posted it on a year old video.
did you go back to korea? Cooollll
What subjects did you learn then?
