When I was a kid there was a pond with the brightest colored carp ever. We tried for hours and days to catch one. Never could get a bait close to them. So instead, we'd sit on a hill top overlooking the pond and try to figure out where the school was heading next. What they were up to. Never did figure all of that out either. Just that they stayed in the middle of the pond not too far under the surface. Were not interested in anything we had for them.

@@goldenfishing5280 In my local reservoir there exists at least one koi or koi/carp hybrid. Red and white. One day.... Probably a 7-10lb fish too.

I don't know man, that fish was bleeding pretty good so I doubt it survived, it wasn't your intent but it happens. Unless your using a single barbless hook (which is so hard to hook and land a fish with) then it's a crap shoot if all the fish you catch will survive.
I'm pretty sure 2 of them made it lucky they are stalked trout not wild ones. But i didn't mean to have them eat the hook.
I've never seen that spillway😉 flowing that hard!

@@goldenfishing5280 Sorry to be that guy but it looks like you are fishing the outlet on Milford and not Tuttle. That would put you in Junction City. Milford has a single tube outlet while Tuttle has two tubes with a large divider between them.
@@goldenfishing5280 alright, well dude, you should go to the Iowa Great Lakes. Amazing fishing. Tons of all sorts of species. Including far, bluegill, bass, catfish, muskies that could take on small sharks, and etc

So many videos of people catching trout like nothing, yet I've managed to catch everything but trout - even in recently stocked lakes. Heck, even hooked a snapping turtle once, but trout always elude me.
