New to "content creation". New to kayaking and boating. Pretty good fisherman and mostly everything I try.
Very experienced in making mistakes.

Intro Vid | 12hp “Kayak” | Phase One of the MicroSkiff Build Complete.
Intro video of my build. My main goal for this build is to change things up in the small boat/kayaking world and for a decent price. I absolutely love this build so far and it PERFORMS.

First video upload since purchasing this kayak and a lot has happened already. From paddles to outboard. This video is an experiment and test of the 6hp Hangkai. Overall, it went well, though I can't settle for simple. Full 12hp video soon. Working on everything needed here. Once verified, I will have the links posted for all of my gear. Kayak: Engine: External Gas Tank: Seat: Seat base: Tiller...
Super cool. Probly easier with 2 people lol.
lol idk, haven’t tested running a motor with 2 people yet. One day tho. Plus, I’m rigging it up for some night fishing so I might be able to take you guys out during your natural time 😂
If thats a 12 I'll eat my hat. 4 or 5 max!
lol I’ll pop the cowling on the next video.
@@beyondproud45 Do any outboard company's even make a 12? Never heard of that size ever!
@ there is one company. I’m beyond impressed with it. Weighs 57 pounds(two stroke). Super smooth right out the box and a ton of power. Hangkai 12hp. Stay tuned and I’ll give a good breakdown why I chose this motor.
So the kayak/skiff itself - how does it handle overall? You a big fan of it?
Honestly really surprised by it. I love it. It’s super stable and can hold a lot. I’ve tried paddling, electric, 6hp and 12hp. At low speeds and high speeds its handles well. I don’t recommend paddling it is all. It shines at 20mph. Stay tuned, I’ll do a good breakdown on it all.
Interested to see where this ends up, definitely looks like it will be a good setup when you get some things figured out.. Have you played around with adding a little bit of weight to the front under the bungees where you have your reg bag? The leverage created by pushing the outboard further back would have the opposite effect, I'd imagine.
Commented a few minutes before the video got to the end. Glad to see you shifted things forward a little bit. The 12 should rip.
It’s definitely a fun experiment right now. Think I’m getting things dialed in especially after adding a 12hp. My best luck with the 6hp so far was putting the gas tank on the bow and sitting in the middle. Got about 12 mph on average. In this video I’m not doing either, AND I’m still running a 25:1 mixture.
@@beyondproud45 Saw that you were on break in premix when you did some ocular algebra before pushing off. Did you swap out the 6 for the 12 or keep as a spare? 6hp is a great bang for buck deal for anything under 14 foot if getting places is the only goal. Do you have a mph goal in mind for this? This is gonna be a gnarly set up when hammered out.
@ lmao “ocular algebra”. Yea I still have the 6hp. I’ll do some more work with it and make some videos when it’s at its best and what works best. As well as an electric setup I have and then of course my new favorite, the almighty 12hp.
@@beyondproud45 look forward to upcoming vids. I’ll be uploading videos soon myself of a little alumacraft 1032 I’m going to pimp out for all the creeks off my local lake.
Im just waiting on the video of the little one falling overbaord. 😂
lol next year maybe.
gonna be a nice rig.
Thank you, I’m so excited!
Do you have any other motors to compare it to?
I have an electric motor set up and a 12hp motor that I’ve started testing with. I’ll be releasing the 12hp test soon.
If you’re wondering about how the Hangkai does compared to other 6hp outboards, can’t help much there except this motor is super lightweight compared to every other motor and runs great. That was my selling factor.
You cant see the guy pulling the cord but, I bet he's handsome.
Too beautiful to behold actually.

OH NO!!
I 100% read 6hp as health points and was thinking damn how many fish were cought to bring ya down that low
@@theicycanoe4127 you read it correctly, I’m still searching for health potions
I too thought it was health points 🤣 #gamingnerds

I wanted to do this so bad, i just cant afford it😭
Hell, I can’t afford it either, just sent it. This was day one of testing and I have ZERO regrets!
