Personally I like the streamer mode’s lyrics over the licensed OST’s lyrics, but they can’t beat the instrumentation of the licensed songs IMO. That’s part of why I did the Mixed OST series.

That’s just how the file sounded. I’ve worked with someone on making music a bit in the past, and it’s common to add light echo or reverb sound effects to vocals to make them sound more natural, rather than sounding like they were recorded in a soundproofed recording booth.

Did you also catch the heartbeat from Reflection during the ending?

For whatever reason, the songs in HiFi Rush are in one of two formats: - having two files, one with the music and lyrics together and then one with just the music - or having the music and lyrics as separate files and playing them at the same time. Surfacing appears to have the two distinct files rather than the separated tracks. While that would mean I could do an instrumental version, it may be a lot harder to do the “lyrics only” video, since I’d have to do a lot of technical nonsense to try to extract them from the combined file.

Video was done in After Effects. The different instrument tracks for the song were published by NIN themselves when the album was released to encourage people to make remixes, so I just dragged them all into AE and attached each of them to a waveform visualizer.

@@FaelumbreProject Negotiation is more or less an on-rails event anyway, you could get the same experience from getting an audio recording straight from the game. Kale’s fight is way more open-ended and has way more sound effects from Kale too, which would make that a lot more interesting. That being said idk if I’ll do anymore of these since it was a fairly big undertaking. Idk. We’ll see.

It wasn’t too difficult since the tool I used did most of the work for me. But the vocal/music splitter ended up making that “high trill” sound that plays often get removed from the music, so I had to go back and manually paste it back in each time

I do know a way to dump the files for all the music but they’re all unlabeled and I have no idea where they are. Plus they need to be stitched together. The only other place I can think of is RUclips. Sorry :/

The files for those are absolutely massive but you can use the same website I did to separate them yourself if you want

A suggestion friend. Have you considered using the Flac format for your songs? It would be great to enjoy them in that format.

The tool I used to separate the vocals and instruments from each other only uses .wav, so that is unfortunately the bottleneck for quality for the files.
