Best way to build a home.. forget shipping containers and baby barns, these buildings will last far longer, for more work you get more bang for your buck. a tough home that will not disappoint, this is the original modular home (You can build it up but you cannot take it down and move it)

For English viewer: This episode introduced the relationship between the master and his students. Their relationship remains the same way as the thousands years of craftsmanship in China(same as Martial arts/Cooking/Traditional music etc). Which is students works for master for years, for free. Master assigned jobs to his students and provided them living. In their team, only the master knows the art of joints and he keep the acknowledge of architecture for himself. Students have to work hard for the basics to get masters attention, and through years of hard works, the master might pass his secret skills and wisdom to one of his favorite student. This tradition is facing difficulty of modernization, not so many wood house are needed in current day, young people all prefer to get office jobs in urban life. It has been decades this team have taken any young students. In the end of the video they say this craftsman would possibly lost in the future.

    • @johnecker8474

Because of commercial oriented products. Everything nowadays needs to be done fast and cheap. In the past people prefered things that take time but last long, and also look beautiful. Its sad to be a craftsman these days...
