@CreativePhenomenonArt i am glad to help. Art funk are not good but what help me is doing other creative things like bookbinding or art journaling where i can be more loose and free. Maybe those could help

@@MadebyDawn23 I completely get it about the pricier ones. I end up treating them so special and then not using them. Another goal this year is to only use what I have before I obtain anything new.

Maybe you can try "use before it is loose" because if i dont use them then they will go spoil

Great I am so happy for you, my theme this year is art supplies are meant to be not to stored. Im doing a no for the first 6 months this year. I looking at some acrylic markers but in no rush to get them.

So relatable. The videos are tempting, but I feel it helped me to see them for what they are: advertisements. When creators get supplies sent, it often comes with a requirement to make a certain amount of videos (unboxing, painting) and in some cases with phrases that need to be used. I've heard it so often from all kinds of channels. So reviews aren't always what they seem. It helps to be more aware of that. We don't need much to create really! Just use what is fun for you and you'll be much happier with your art. ❤

I am easily influence but i developed this new approach since 2024 of if I already have a version of something I may not need the latest version coming out, this approach seemed to work. Art manufacturers need to sell their products and art influencers need to advertised it. It is my job to say whether i need it or not. At this stage in my art journey it is more a not than a need. During my no buy I learned to used to my art supplies that is what they are there for. And honestly i am quite enjoying it. I am not knocking the art influencers like I said they have their job to do, I am just so grateful that i am in position where i can say no, thank you so much for your comment.

@@MadebyDawn23 My issue is not with influencers advertising it, but most don't label it correctly (which is also illegal where I live), so it's misleading to the viewers. And it's good to be aware that it's still an advertisement to feel less tempted to buy. At least that's what helped me to reduce my purchases... because I'm also easily tempted. :)

I have so many pencils it’s seems I can only justify purchasing cheap like REALLY cheap pencils 🤦‍♀️😅😅 Send help I have a problem 😬 For example I found some real cute pencils on Amazon for $9.99 …… did I buy them? Yup🤦‍♀️ 72 pencils!?!? and the tin was so cute 🥰!?!? How could I say no?😅

@@CreativePhenomenonArt i look at it this way, if I have something similar then i dont really need to get them. I got cheaper paints because I enjoyed using them and i dont have them. I know that i can use the paints i have but im actually intimidated by paints that i import.
