I have a very small SLAP tear in my shoulder from heavy overhead pressing at the gym (overuse injury) I feel fine most of the time, range of motion isn't much of an issue it just hurts if I try to lift heavy overhead, is surgery necessary for me?

Is it really that long of a recovery? I was quoted 6-9 months on my acl reconstruction but managed it in 4 with lots of therapy. I want to be ready for next riding season.

I had dislocated my shoulder so much that it eventually caused damage to the base of my skull along with the bone and tissue damage in my shoulder, that was 3 weeks ago and I’m still in my sling

Had a question if don’t mind about how’s your shoulder now and and if your surgery included rotator cuff tendons along with labrum or other parts like bursa etc.. feedback be great , will be facing similar.
