Is there a more in depth explanation for setting up the bits (F92, F93, F94 ...) somewhere. We have three mazak machines, all fairly new but all with different Smooth controls. Running an [x/c] [z/c] [z/x/c] code program from EIA is a bit of a pain. it would be nice to have a source of example programs for tuning centers with live tools. We often program on machine with smoothcam and insert EID code sub-programms that have to be created in CAM.

Is Mazak going to offer this Swiss Style Machine Tool with other control brands, such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain? Just curious, since I am not aware if the MAZATROL is capable to do programing for Swiss-style machining.

I’ve used subs alot in the past on fanuc and just recently discovered m97, local sub routine, and I wanna incorporate these on a mazak lathe so I can program a broach operation in g code that I can edit the geometry of and call it up when needed then call back to the next unit in mazatrol. Was going to loop in incremental and change the typical variables based on prints. My coworker was showing me his broaching job and had 135 lines of manual program in his mazatrol, and I’m thinking I can do that in 15 lines in g code.

i want to ask sir, why in EIA Program can't read offset radius tool (D)? there's always interfence tool alarm even though the tool is no offset. i used mazak Ai control

Very nice presentation. I have a question about corners with a small radius. I would like to use a larger endmill to rough and a smaller endmill to finish the corners. However in the corners there is 'leftover' from roughing and that gives me a problem when the smaller endmill tries to finish the corners in one pass. I don't want to use the small endmill to do the roughing. I don't want to break the endmill in the corner because it be to big a cut I would like mazatrol to remember 'leftover' in corners after a larger endmill and continue IPM with a smaller endmill. Is that possible? Now I use the larger and smaller endmill but in-between I have the smaller endmill do a helical circle in each corner to remove 'leftover' .

A new on is 6,500.00 New so if i can have mine rebuilt better bearings n all id love to even upgade to a stronger 50 taper but let me know thanks
