When I was in my teens & early twenties (back in the 60s & 70s), my taste in music was very limited, narrow. I was too picky. I didn't pay any attention to Patti Smith, then I totally forgot about her. But now, in my 60s & 70s (years old), I've rediscovered her. I can't begin to tell you how much I regret not paying attention to her in my youth. She would have been one of my favorites. ... (And I had VERY few favorites.) She gets into my soul. She's so Bohemian, as am I. I guess that's why I'm drawn to her.

Saw this when it aired. Remember my mom watched it too. She didn't get it. Later bought me magazines, Vogue, W, all the popular mags w/Patti featured. Think she got it. This show moved me. As an odd girl, I related to her. Love her still. Seen her in '76 n everytime I shes in LA area. Saw w Flee 3 or 4 times. Also Johnny Depp n 2× w/Tom Verlaine. This is my fav line up. I think. Love every show but missed the PS Trio this yr. So much energy still.
