Richard the traveller

"There is only one thing bigger than my good looks, and that is my arrogance..." LOL
Thanks for checking my profile!
My name is Richard.
Roller-skater, Break-dancer, Martial artist and World traveller
In 2014 I left my home country (in the dark Eastern Europe) to find a new home.
Since then I've been travelling. I've been to over 100 countries on 7 continents. I've read over 800 books and learned 3 different languages on my travels.
Before that period, I worked in film studios as a stuntman or fight choreographer. But in Eastern Europe this work didn't pay very well. Several times I was homeless on the streets because the studios didn't pay me on time.
I practiced different martial arts for 13 years and I was very good at different sports like roller skating and breakdancing (you can find videos of these on my channel)...

Avenue of the Baobabs, Madagascar (Why you should visit this place)
I have been to one of the most breathtaking places of my 10 years of travel. This is the Avenue of the Baobabs in Madagascar. There are at least 25 giant trees here, an additional 25 in the nearby rice fields.
Some are nearly 1500 years old. They can reach up to 30 meters.
Here are the pictures and the story.
All photos of trees and nature are from my own private collection.
This is episode 4 of the series: "My favorite places in 100 countries."
Episode 1 about elephants and the locals in Thailand:

Hi Richard, so good to see you are again on an adventure. Best from Tonga 🇹🇴 @Neti
Hi Aneti! Nice to hear from you! This story was in 2018...😅 But it is fine! I hope you are okay!
Hello Richard the traveller! Great content you got there. I think all this channel needs is a little push to get things moving. I can help with that. My info is on this very channel I'm using to comment.
Bashar Al Assad was Evil and Monstrous to his own people in Syria just like Saddam Hussein was in Iraq

Super Cool and Cute 🥰🥰🥰
Very educational, thank you
12:49 What a long winded introduction before the journey It is more like a talking documentary than a video of living with the Bedouin tribe
Well said! This series is more: talking about memories and a presentation of photographs. I never planned to make a video about this trip (especially as my English verb was terrible at the time), but I thought the subject is worth talking about. This video is more about my lifestyle, travel and difficulties. I know you didn't say that: but I know that the second half of the video is absolutely not about the local culture. It's more about the difficulties of my personal life as I sometimes drift across countries to find a new home....
I travel through your adventures because although I would love to go to those countries , the reality is I could not go …thank you for sharing your travels and even more fascinating are your stories !!! All the best.
Thank you! It means a lot to me! (Maybe you are the only one who watched fully? 😅 Why you could not go and travel???
Beautiful story…. Lovely accent ……fascinating adventures…. The desert is beautifully alluring !!!!
Hi Richard where are you now? Hope still on an adventure somewhere.
Your videos deserve to be seen by more people
Dear viewers! Thank you for watching and for your positive comments. (Thanks also for the negative comments. ) Only offensive or racist comments will be deleted. Some comments do not appear here. (Maybe youtube deletes them?) I see them on my profile, but somehow they don't show up here. So. I apologize if I don't answer them! Also: this is not the first video where some extremists call me a racist. These will also be deleted. Here you can see what it's like when I try to build a community (with the money I collect in the West) Enjoy the video! ruclips.net/video/LGkLE7S2xe4/видео.html
very well done my friend, success further
I wish I could find someone to come and do occasional work, 2-3 days a week (manual labour) for me. Used to be that there were plenty of youngsters eager to work, starting from around COVID times they got harder and harder to find. I pay more than minimum wage, extra if it's been a long or particularly tough day, a fair number of breaks, I treat them with respect and will teach them skills if they want to learn them, as well as helping them find other work to supplement the days when I don't need them (I have a large network of contacts who also need workers on a non regular basis). But nowadays... The only ones who are interested want absurd amounts of money, the last youngster who expressed interest wanted £150 a day, no experience, let alone helpful qualifications, not even fit or strong (despite my huge scepticism I gave him a shot, he was absolutely useless). If anyone knows where I can find a community of migrants who have a good work ethic, I'd love to give them some work!
Thank you for telling your story. Unfortunately, the work you're doing is the fate of the unqualified worker. I did such jobs for almost 20 years while I was trying to get a degree. Not knowing how to pay the rent at the end of a month, saving any small amount of money, regardless of how little, saving on food or basically any commodity just to be able to pay rent. While you haven't seen Germans do such work, I - as a German - did all kinds of these jobs. The reality is that only the fewest people fall through Germany's social net and thus many don't have to do these jobs, but they do exist, especially in the service industry. I also had 30+ hour weekend jobs until employment laws mandated to limit a work day to 10 hours max. Once I managed to get my degree, it was literally smooth sailing afterwards. Beforehand, nobody would have batted an eye for a guy like me. I can also relate to your experience regarding uneducated co-workers. For educated people, such environments are mental torture. Their behavior is rough and superiors treat everyone in such a group with disdain. Feels more like being a sub-human than anything else. That makes it extremely tough to socialize with colleagues which is the key to get through the work day. I hope you have a plan b to get yourself into a better position. You should try to rise through the ranks, but that requires you to stick with a job and work yourself up. If you keep skipping countries, you will have a hard time building a resume of experience that will have relevance to companies in the area. I wish you all the best.

You should have come over the channel in a rubber dinghy
Yes you are right, The problem with these people comming into the west, they are sold lies, for capitalism, communist, There is no work. The powers that be, feeding you folk on thier crazy ideology of Marxism instead of doing this economy, what they did in 2008, they now use people, to collapse the system. You are a wise man.
The cockney slang doesn't sound the same
The Irony, Immigrant complaining about too many immigrants, too many foreign accents, and being scammed by immigrants, no self awareness whatsoever. Native Brit make this video be labelled the R word.
I see I am lucky. This is reality
Shame you felt the need to censor my comment - perhaps you're perfect for London after all.
Guy with no skills and poor English can't find a job in UK - no surprise there.
This is not an uncommon problem - Western economies are developed and are generally looking for skilled labour with a good standard of the Wngkish language- many migrants don’t have the skills that employers are looking for and employers struggle to fill vacancies from their own populations- this only leaves the option of very menial work- this problem is common across Europe - Sweden is a classic example! This creates societal problems as the disaffected then often end up being drawn to crime to make ends meet!
You mean employers want cheap immigrant labour. There's plenty of native Brits that would love to be given a chance
😢
In London u need 100% an agency or to apply via CV it s kind of hard to find like u did plus u didn t go into industrial area witch was in zone 3-4 where u could find a job very easy back then with a contract but i think u would get a bad rate.
Employers taking advantage of desperate people doesn't surprise me at all, but it still disgusts me. They will bring in more then enough money to pay everyone above minimum wage but would prefer to resort to slaver tactics. Worlds a stupid place at times, hope you live better now.
You don't have to come here, stop complaining.
weeding i done it when i was at school had a hoe then i think i was getting £3 ah hour min rate 1988
You stayed in London for 2 weeks and expected someone to just give you a job?! Come on man, get real
Every six months or so I read about a person with a sign trying to get a job. Usually it is a good news story and they are picked up by some generous employer. It is nothing new - as you say - and it is also a fantasy - like the film.
❤️👍
❤️👍
They make it difficult for locals to do farm work like that. My cousin tried to get a job at an orchard and got turned away even though she was fine with it being minimum wage.
Respect for doing this. You got guts man 👊
Don't take it personally. Maybe you did go into too much detail on your CV. Maybe people didn't need Stuntmen/Fight Choreographers without references? Maybe you should have just said your intent to work honestly and reliably and are trustworthy.
Nice Video, Love from Iraq
A real eye opening video, thank you for telling your story.
yes you struggled in the UK but you also complain too much, but what do I know, I haven't been in your shoes, it will sound stupid to you but things will only get better when your attitude gets better
If you put as much time into making a proper sign as you did making this video, you might have had more luck! Unless of course, this was all about the video and you didn't want a job?! Also, what's with the offensive thumbnail?
A very interesting video and I respect your efforts in your pursuit of a job. It was quite good to see through the eys of a foreigner who had bought into the lies told about the West and its job markets. The native British have been struggling to get jobs themselves because of foreign competition, so it's only natural that a relatively unskilled and poor English speaker would struggle in a market full of other good and poor English speakers, skilled and unskilled. I have heard countless stories of natives battling for minimum wage jobs and then arriving to places where they're the only white person - the competition at the bottom is absolutely fierce. As a British nationalist, I do think that the absolute majority of foreigners should be kicked out and the "Britain needs foreigners like you" attitude is a silly one, but I do wish you the best in creating something of value in your own region because you have the willingness to try. With the right connections and skills, I believe you are the kind of person who could significantly impact and potentially transform your own hometown and bring prosperity (if you have the right locals to do it with).
We simply do not need immigration
It's also called a bystander effect. When crowds of people walk past you they assume somebody else will surely help you.
Brexit was 17 million Brits all wanting the polish to do one and give back jobs to English men, like it or not the poles undercut you and now they complain about immigration to Poland.
its completely different nowadays in london, back in the day you could easily get something but now its gig work, temporary contracts and nothing permanent
my god, this appeared in my video recommendations and I watched in from beginning to end. mate, you deserve so much more from life than this crap
What a disgusting system
As a Brit, what really annoys me are employers (or potential employers) scamming people through false promises, making folk work 3+ hours without pay (not sure that is legal), by law you should have a break after 4 or 5 hours; heard alot of stories of employers paying (usually) migrant workers the legal minimum wage on the books then asking (well prob demanding) money back), or simply paying employees well below minimum wage off the books (Defo illegal). Not just a London thing, but probably common in London
When will there be a law against it ?
@@davybean8981 There are laws against it. The problem is the lack of enforcement.
Businesses love desperate gullible immigrants
maybe get a better sign, why did you think that liverpool street was where the movie / tv industry is based?
sorry I am British and have not lived in my country for 20 years due to the state of the society.
