Minneapolis, MN METRO Light Rail (April, 2022)
I visited Minneapolis, Minnesota, April of last year to tour schools. Although almost all the streets in the commercial center of the city were absolutely void of any signs of life, I enjoyed the looks, food, and culture of the city and I also enjoyed the Twin Cities' METRO Light Rail System, which was unpleasant to ride on, but as you can hopefully tell in this short video it was a nice sight to see.

Here I operate a Class 101 DMU to Manchester Victoria and back to the depot in this TSW2020 scenario "Down and Out." This route takes place during the nationalized British Rail era sometime in the 80's, and it features satisfyingly difficult to operate locomotives like the Class 101, which has a manually driven gearbox. Enjoy one of my rare gaming videos.

A Shore Line East GP40 pulls out of New London Union Station and an Amtrak Acela Express set blasts through. Both trains give deafeningly loud crossing sequences. I have gone back to using my old intro, because although it uses a copy-written song it is way, way better than my new intro. I also don't ever plan on trying to make money off of RUclips. Does it need a valve adjustment ?
beautiful, endless, comfortable, silent, powerful, unbreakable
I got one of these today thanks for sharing🎉
I remember riding the R17s, back in the 1970s and 1980s.
Thanks.
I remember riding the Lo-Vs on 2 and 3 express trains in 2011, when they had a museum run. It operated between Times Square and 96th Street in both directions.
Thanks.
When the rebrand coming big dog?
I loved these trains when I was a kid. I remember taking one to Yankee Stadium on the 4 line with my dad when I went to my first baseball game. I can still hear in my head the sounds of the motor and the door opening and closing.
That’s incredible. Thank you so much for commenting.
Have an 03 v6, what an absolute blast to drive, this j series is indestructible, and very peppy..one of the best cars iv owed....
The 03 V6 was one of the best years for the Accord. Mine is about to turn 180,000 miles and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. Just a great car. I was rummaging through the glove box after I bought it and I found the original sticker. Fully loaded the car was almost $27,000 new. Not much nowadays but 20 years ago that was an expensive car! I got mine in 2021 for $5495, and it's been worth every penny! I've had two people offer to buy it at almost what I paid for it... But I won't sell it!
@@thebunkreportany problems with the transmission or it's still running good
@@Drewless No problems yet. I do take very good care of the car.
Thanks how does it run? heard there was problems with tranny on the v6 experience any issues?
Are you able to drive them for free?

I am a member at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven, CT. They have guest operator programs over the summer, you can try to find more information on their website here: shorelinetrolley.org/
how's the gas on this?
Did you ever get a valve adjustment on your honda ?
transmission problems?
Min 2:40 might want to tighten that bolt.
I completely forgot about the Terrain Terrain, Pull-Up” gag. Good times XD
I came here because you directed me here from your other video on the R17 start up. And because I'm a Lo-V fan. I envy you having all that fun starting up my all-time, favorite NYCTA IRT subway car! It was really cool seeing you operate it though. 😂 That was so cool! 😊
Terrific, glad you enjoyed it!
Unfortunately the automatic on Honda v6s before 2005 are total glass and will absolutely fail. Hope shes been great for you. Proud owner of a 06 accord 6-6!
doors that open or close - perfect !
When I was a kid growing up in the Bronx during the 1960s, I hated this subway car and it's similar-looking successors because they were slowly replacing my beloved Lo-V subway cars. I don't feel that way, now. But, I still don't care much for the R17s because they just don't look interesting to me. They're just functional. I never saw anything appealing about them. 😕
Check out my other video where I start up and operate a Lo-V! I'm personally a fan of the R-9's, they've got to be my favorite pre-SMEE equipment.
@@alexdog04 Great! It's always a pleasure seeing those Lo-Vs! And I'm a fan of the R-1 to 9 IND subway cars, too. They're AWESOME!!! 😎
How much is the timing belt on these things costs to replace?
Dat geeft een beginner een bijzonder gevoel ! Ik weet het.
Ja!
Have fun with your hobby ! @@alexdog04
Those front foot wells the rot comes from under the hood!!!look at the chassis members where they run down the bulkhead.
What a Car.
Never ride it at night or by yourself. Don't step on the yellow puddles or what looks like a Baby Ruth candy bar on the floor of the train.
All good advice, makes sense to me haha. As someone from the northeast where transit is relatively clean and certainly well-utilized by all different kinds of people I was quite shocked by how unpleasant my ride on the Minneapolis light rail was. Maybe it's because there are essentially no payment systems and no fare checking in place for the trolley in Minneapolis?
I have a 2003 2.4L 4 speed automatic all original with 366k miles zero issues! Replaced: suspension, fuel pump, water pump, power steering pump, ac compressor, starter, alternator, 3 batteries and that's about it reliable !! I love it I'm driving it until the wheels fall off! I have had offers as high as $4k with this milage. I can't sell it!
🏆
Does it need a valve adjustment ?
@@laurentcambon yes approximately everything 80k miles.

Hi man, this is MJ one of the counselors that joined you that year at Railcamp. it was a pleasure being your counselor and I had a real good time. Very much so that I was called back this summer to be a counselor again. 👍 a job well done on this video, the narration, the music, Etc.
Thanks so much MJ! Great to hear from you.
I will be at railcamp this summer for the first time and I’m really looking forward to it
What's the status of this build? I just picked up a 64 wagon and will be restoring to resto mod.
I have this same car mines right hand drive and a 2005 in nighthawk black its insanely fast I got the leather and sunroof options aswell I'm in love with the thing it's the full option model
What an incredibly rotten video!!! Does this guy have any idea that he is holding a video camera??? Where is he pointing the camera??

Not to argue 2003 3.0 v6 part is right but put toyota camry at front of that statement lol those gen accords and camrys best long lasting cars ever. See many make 500k my 03 camry v6 330k and fine
I rode on these in their final days n 1963/64 on the Woodlawn line and on the 7 ave express
Way cool
Minnesota is one of the few states I haven’t been to out of 44 I have. Minnesota kinda reminds me slightly of the NYC architecture back home. ❤
Should've got on and seen all the meth use.
Did this yesterday I love the trains in ct!
can I see Ohio
NO
Mines really not doing well from an unknown problem Honda can't even figure out :(
i’m getting that type of car when i’m 18 it’s one my favorite cars
Timing belt or Timing chain?
timing belt
7:10 everyone got real mad lol
More air pressure for the doors! Check the air compressor for more Force.
We're actually currently working on a problem with the door control actuator and the air compressor itself in the Low-V-- it's getting sent off sometime in early Feb. to be part of a movie set so everybody's rushing to get work done on the car before then.
I was offered my grandmother’s white 04 V6 fully loaded in 2018 when it had around 151k. Beautiful car and drives amazingly! However, I was coming from my 02 RSX 5 speed with 280k and I was used to 25+ mpg with a small gas tank and more importantly, I didn’t want to give up my manual transmission. I ended up in my current daily, an 04 Civic VP coupe 5 speed with manual windows, mirrors, and locks and 163k. People still call me crazy for picking this over the Accord, but I LOVE my Civic and she’s now only at 187k! My brother got the Accord and it’s now at 195k running like a champ! I did the oil as well as cleaning up the interior a couple weeks back and used the car for a weekend when my brother was out of town and made me rethink if I made the right choice turning down the car. When I get back in my Civic in a week, we shall see if iI made the right decision!
i’m sorry, i love the video and everything but you were like “uhm, and, uhm” almost 15 times every minute it was just cracking me up, i have the dang exact car, coupe model with the 3.0 V6 with black interior
Absolutely fell in love with the J Series motor. Arguably the best V6 ever made.
Did you ever get a valve adjustment on your honda ?
How good is it on gas ⛽
We need more videos JUST like these just longer maybe?
How old were you when you did this, that way I can know how old I should be.
I've got the same exact model in white, which is a common car color in Arizona due to the extreme sun almost every day of the year. Mine just turned 163,000 miles and still runs perfectly. I love it and plan to keep it until it completely dies!
my 2005 2.4L accord turned 163000km yesterday❤❤❤❤
@@diesellee5200 Nice! I'm still driving mine. Almost 180,000 miles now and the AC is still ice cold and it purrs like a kitten..

As a kid, I remember the doors opening or closing in two stages, with the sound of rubber "zipping" through the operation (for lack of a better description). Those doors never opened or closed in one pass.
