I would have never thought of staying at a motel for that amount of time , that seems like a great idea! That being said when you booked the 6 week stay did they offer a discount for being a long term stay or charge you the regular hotel fees ? Also would you guess the amount to be under $3k for a 6 week stay ?

Beautiful ship. I will be on it December 15-22 2024. To my understanding the observation lounge will be smaller because of putting more rooms in. NCL is taking so much away, unfortunately they will cut their own throats. I will never sail with them after December. You can’t keep charging more and taking more away.

Would love to know what the cost was for the car and passenger train. That would be so helpful for the prices that you had to pay for things. Nice informative video though on the inside of the train.

I saw your Auto Train video and made a comment about stuff to bring onboard. I like your suggestions. Like the other video, i would also suggest bring a power strip due to limit amount of electrical outlets.

Nice video ladies. Me and my wife have taken the Auto Train many of times. We always get a roomette. The one thing i usually suggest to folks is to bring a power strip. Bringing your own snacks and cocktails ain't a bad ideal either.😉 🍸🍸. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night and watching cars driving south on I-95 and then go back to sleep.

We’ve taken the Auto Train about a dozen times over the years, and the last time was August 2021. They downgraded many creature comforts over the years so I’m happy to see they provided extra water. The breakfast menu is new. We never experienced the cars being off-loaded in the order of loading. That was all very random, just expect to have to wait at least an hour. We decided to upgrade from a roomette to a room because of the condition of the shared bathrooms. People left the bathroom in disgusting condition. You get a private bathroom in a bedroom, which is worth the extra money to my husband (so he doesn’t have to listen to my bathroom rants).

Less is always more in my opinion! When I travel, I usually backpack and usually travel by train. I will always pack my luna no matter how big my bag is lol
