My great grandmother and my great unkle had an Elvis tribute band. Freddy t and the okies. She died before I was born I sure wish there was recordings of them playing gigs to look back on. I was born in 84 and I was raised on this music. I still listen to it all. Hank Williams Conway Merle haggard Sam Cooke and the likes. Music that makes me feel warm in my belly. It’s hard to describe. It’s just beautiful music. Elvis was an amazing man. Sad this was his last time he got to sing this. I wish I could have lived to see him grow old. He was much to young.

I always loved his version of Dixie. It's not a racist thing, I'm a Yankee but I did live in the deep south for a time and the civil war still means something to the people in the countryside. Their boys fought bravely too. I just love the song.

Right before his passing, his voice and presence were still immense. I was four when he passed and wish I had been born sooner so I could have appreciated the greatness that was Elvis. RIP Elvis.

Love this song and he sings the most beautiful version of it!!! Makes me wonder if he was thinking of his Mom while he sang it! Especially if he knew it might be his last performance.

He was born to sing, nothing, no-one has ever come close, his voice was haunting, his presence astounding, he was obviously off his face on drugs whilst singing this but what a voice. I remember the day he died, I was11 , it has made a memory in my mind my life I'll never ever forget. The most handsome man I feel to have walked this earth. Surely never again will there ever be anyone ever near him. What a loss to music and this World. He will always be the King

This is acctualy sad to watch, they made him preform while he was sick. He took way to many sleeping pills and you can hear him sluring with the words.
