@@MinimalistExplorerEDC that's the deluxe version the version I got was the canteen and the first gen pouch which was trash. The new version has rings on the handle now unlike this one and he stopped putting the pouches in the basic set. Your thinking about the deluxe kit that comes with all that. But thanks for watching!

I'm definitely biased against American made quality gear vs chinese trash. There's plenty of other options for regions who creat quality stuff like Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Germany, so on China has the worst quality steel and quality control is a major problem. I'm serious about my equipment when I need it and I'm putting my life over it I can't have it fail.

That because it was older stock they learned how bad it was and stopped including it in newer stock

@@dynamicsurvival6332 how old? Because i haven't seen a case like that on their site ever. I did notice the cup itself is older stock though because it doesn't have the loops on the handle of the cup. Where did you buy it from?

Ya exactly the looped set is the latest design. I got this one from Amazon and then gave it to a friend just starting out and bought another and that's when I noticed what you said about the rings and no case. I like the rig set better. But ya that's why it was one of the first edition sets

Honestly the only reason I chose the canteen set over the bottle set was the shape. I can easily wear it on a hip belt if I have a light loadout. It just contours better on the hip in my opinion but that's it.

@@dynamicsurvival6332 have you ever hit anybody with lead knuckles? good luck peeling them off your hand.

I poured 17 lbs of lead into a silicone mold. After doing it 3 times it fried the mold. First punch of those "brass" knuckles and the lead smooshed against fingers will let you know your hand is still attached... I say add some moisture to that recipe and the mold burning is the least of his worries.

@@gotink27 I completely agree. Though 17 lbs of lead, that will fry it, keeping it hot that long. Though if he used a lead alloy, like is found in many tire weights, it could possibly be stiff enough to survive impacting watermelons. Am almost interested to se a test of that now

@@LTCDRRAZOR im gonna look to see if i still have the mold... I do have the cast though. Its an exact copy of Darth Vaders helmet, the oversized large pez dispenser. 17.6 lbs mixed range lead ,wheel balance weights, and old car batteries. The mold was about 3/8" to a max of 1/2" thick. No external cooling other than room temp undisturbed air. 1 continuous pour, and i used Dollar General bought 100% silicone, cured about 24hrs past demold. The 1st pour left zero blemishes I was shocked to say the least.

You would need a bit hotter setup than this for brass, but it is def possible bud.
