Nutribullet is not supposed to be used without water. Isnt it affecting the blade?

I am confused either to buy indian mixer grinder or this blender can easily do all tasks such as making dosa batter, green chutney , coconut chutney and grinding dry spices and making fine powder spices . Could you tell if this machine does all these jobs easily and good for indian cooking
