      @@mathmath20In method one you should be more explicit. Method two is explained well. But the people that need help with this I don’t think are going to get explanation one without them actually seeing the true “trick” which you blast right past.

    Not sure about the sub "let x+1 = x", maybe use some different variable names for the subs to avoid confusion? Good solution nonetheless!

      Thanks for your comment! When I put the "let" as "a, b, c" (instead of x, y, z) for another video, someone else said /that/ was confusing, so I'm trying to appease all crowds 😅 I'll keep this in mind for the future!

    I'm guessing that a+b+c+d+50=180 because l and m are parallel, and that means if you were walking on l and traversed your way to m while taking the shortest route available you would have made a 180 degree turn. Would that be correct?

    amazingly stupid proof try this in 3 lines [(a+b)^2--(a-b)^2]^0.5=[(a+c)^2--(a-c)^2]^0.5+[(b+c)^2--(b-c)^2]^0.5 (ab)^0.5=(ac)^1/2+(bc)^0.5 1/c^0.5=1/b^0.5+1/a^0.5

      Your approach is excellent for those who already grasp these concepts, but this video focuses on explaining 'how' and 'why' to those that may require additional help. Please refrain from calling things "stupid" for using different methods, as it can be discouraging to others trying to seek more guidance. It seems you came from the associated RUclips Short, where I indeed solved this in 3-4 lines -- once again: different strokes for different folks 🙂
