The similiarities is because Shona, Ndebele and kinyarwanda are alla Bantu languages. You won't find these similarities if you was to compare for instance Alur with KiLega , Acholi with Luganda or Kalenjin with Kikuyu.

Wow!! It is the same here in Uganda, with over 10 Bantu-speaking groups of people. In history, migrations caused the separation of the African people into different parts of the continent.

After watching the video, I realized that many words you gave are very similar to our national languages(Lingala and Kituba) in the Republic of Congo. For example in Kituba and Lingala we say: -Kid= mwana Rain= mvula/ mbula Eye = misu/ meso House= yinzo Breast= Mabene Animal= Nyama To Vomit= Kuluka

Zimbabweans and Rwandans are Batu therefore they speak Influ Language.

You may have even more words may be thousand like Inzira, Umuntu, Abantu- - -

Ok I've been thinking to make these similarities known... These guys are our children... Check this... Rwanda...anda...means expand... In IsiXHOSA from SA... You'll find names like... LUYANDA, SIYANDA, AYANDA, KWANDA all mean Expand. Animals like : IMVUBU, INGULUBE, ingwe, inyoni (in IsiZulu) ... In IsiXHOSA you say U-nyoko means your mother in Ikinyarwanda is the same we NYOKO... In IsiZulu, IsiXHOSA the word UMUTWA (ABATWA) means BUSHMAN as well as in Ikinyarwanda...MALUME in IsiZulu / IsiXHOSA in Ikinyarwanda is MARUME...So my SA friends, we always talk about how Africans are all one... This is excellent guys keep it up, it's indeed fascinating to see all these similarities

I realised since last year that Biside Kinyankore and Kikiga; the other closest languages to kinyarwanda/Kirundi(and their dialects) are probably Shona and Kikuyu.

I am a Munyankole from Uganda. All these words are the same in our language. We are all one people.

Even the name Mugabe we have Rwandan which call Mugabe

I speak both of languages so I know,I also happened to study both languages in schools and the similarities is shocking,even I could pick up so many words before i started learning IsiNdebele from South Africa, IsiNdebele ftom zimbabwe is more like Zulu than it is yo IsiNdebele from Zimbabwe

In Uganda 🇺🇬, just across the border from Rwanda 🇷🇼 among the Banyankore, all those words are the same or very similar ❤😊

Other words that are probably similar: death (urupfo), bone (igufa/amagufa), moon/month (ukwezi), child (umwana), to smile/laugh (guseka), to eat (kurya), to sing (kuririmba)
