Bumppo's Speed Shop
Добавлен 15 июн 2014
Welcome to Bumppo's Speed Shop! On this channel, I will be highlighting everything 2-wheels, more specifically Dynas and other Harleys.
I am just a normal dude in his garage turning wrenches, do not take anything I say on here as gospel, or view it as the absolute correct way to do anything. I make do with the tools I have at my disposal and hope that I can relate to you!
There are always things moving around in the shop and new protects fairly often.
As always, share the videos if you or someone you know could learn something from them.
Thanks for watching!

Project FX-RK Gets a New Intake and Thunderheader!
Просмотров 587Год назад
I know.. I know.. this is my first upload in forever. But I am trying a whole new system for editing. A new computer, new software, etc. Let me know how you like it compared to the previous stuff!! So, the FX-RK has a weak exhaust and the intake is abysmal, its time to change that! I got an S&S Stealth air cleaner kit and a Thunderheader to make that change!!

Nvm I found it!
@@Thedogwithdabutteronhim glad you found it
@@Thedogwithdabutteronhim thanks for checking out the build
Hey anyway you could tell me in which video/ part you actually hook up the plumbing on the oil tank? I’m planing on running the same one thanks
Loving it , good to see progress
@@thechiefengineer5886 hell yea. Thanks for checking it out as always!
I rejected to that 50 /200 perfect ✌️
Like da sound of rocker covers being assembled ✌️
How’s the shocks 3 years and some later
@@ernestr1327 man, I gotta say they’re holding up great. I had these same ones on my dyna and I rode the hell out of that bike. Took it on the tail of the dragon a few times, a lot of back country winding roads, etc. and they always worked great for me. For the price, I don’t think they can be beat.
@@ernestr1327 thanks for checking out the video!
Where did you get those grips from, can't find any that colour in the UK.
What specs did you go with on the frame? Rake, Up, and out?
@@mrslam49 stock rake but check out the dirty biker roller on paughcos website for all the specs.
Copper color would look good.
Bike looks great! Getting there.
I used that same seat on my first build and absolutely hated it. Couldn't go 40 miles without feeling like I'd been injured on my tailbone. The bike looks like it's gonna be killer though. Dig it.
@@SaddleTrampTV I had the same one on my sporty chop and it wasn’t bad. Unfortunately there isn’t much for comfort for an off the shelf chopper seat. I will probably take this one apart and put better foam/gel in it and get a custom upholstered cover for it.
Are those old engines, after rebuild, reliable? I know they don't make too much power, but i'd love to build one!
@@jimmyjimjim3054they can be reliable for sure. It’s still old tech, so not as reliable as newer stuff. But yea, this thing stock has like 60-65hp. So nothing crazy, but fun on a chopper for sure.
@@NattyBumppo That great thanks for taking the time!
@@jimmyjimjim3054 absolutely! Thanks for checking out the video.
Wohoo , happy to see you back
@@thechiefengineer5886 yessir! Finally got a little bit of free time to do some editing. Thanks for checking them out as always!
Video definitely just saved me a lot of headaches
@@leviwolffe8172 that fuel crossover can be a pain for sure.
@ I used your trick yesterday and it came off like a dream and not even a drop of gas was lost. And of course I had a full tank. LOL. Now she’s torn down ready for paint this week. Ford lightning blue pearl.
@@leviwolffe8172 hell yea man, I’m glad it could work out for you.
This is called fxrk fairing? What’s the difference between fxrt fairing?
@@Soulriderpowder nothing. It’s just what I called my bike for this video series. FX-RK, FX-Road King. It’s a joke.
So just regular fxrt fairing. U just add turn signal light cover on side? What do u call that? And does it fit any fxrt fairing
@@Soulriderpowder FXRP fairing.
@@NattyBumppo so if I get fxrp fairing, I can attach right and left turn signal cover on fairing? I don’t know what do u call that part
Does fxrt fairing has light pod or its only for fxrp
Check the ring gap before you install. Those KB's are good listens but the damage looks like the top ring ran out of gap and popped the upper land due to heat or tuning issues.
@@johnnielsen5076 well no shit, Sherlock. The ring gaps were checked by both the machine shop that did the jugs and myself. The issue was the pistons. They are not good pistons, they’re absolutely trash and I know more than one other person this exact thing has happened to. KB pistons might be okay, but their hypereutectic pistons are not.
You think you could make me something like that for a sportster
@@lilrichard87 absolutely
@@lilrichard87 this was a sportster front end
@@NattyBumppo mine doesn’t have the bolt holes in the lower bracket for the forks

Bro do you have to put loctite on the rocker arm support plate bolts or can they just be torqued down without any loctite? Good video.
@@cj8172 I put loctite on damn near everything and torque them to spec. Might as well spend the extra few bucks for some reassurance.
