Just having a 30ft pandanas lopped atm 😢 before it falls on my roof 😖. Trying to figure out if I can salvage and propagate any of it. 2 years ago we pruned and used the nuts/pods (pineapple looking) as mulch. A couple of them have just sprouted - maybe there’s hope 🙏🏻. These trees are really elegant and provide nice shade

  • @saundra1571

Did any of your cuttings root? I have tried countless times and mine never do, I have used rooting hormone, I have wounded the cutting, I have tried just submerging the cutting in soil, in the shade, in the house, I have tried in a green house effect, within a clear plastic bottle, I have never been successful. I am thinking all these videos here on RUclips on just BS. What was your outcome?

I thought about that. Then comes the question: Prevailing wind hitting the gable end, or the curved side. Also the house should stand up easily to the prevailing wind. Storm winds can come from any direction. And hurricane wind direction changes as it passes by.
