I just realised... Why did Cure Mermaid have to use her wand for Mermaid Ripple? She was in her mode elegant form and the attack seemed like it was mermaid ripple... but at 1:00, she was holding her wand with bits of energy coming out of it...
ngl this bothered me for the longesttt time & i'm glad i wasn't alone.... i think the animators just got used to drawing their wands all the time bc they rarely used their solo finishers after the first act/arc of the season and made a mistake lol

We've had seasons with no hand to hand combat followed by seasons bringing it back. It's nothing new for the franchise
The New seaon is meant for kids is about animals and they didnt want to have kids hurtint animals and themselfs
