Do both lights have to be green
One will be yellow and one will be green. The yellow should be on all the time. The green will go out if it’s misaligned.

Does this work for new keypads? My old one was damaged so I ordered a new one from Amazon. Is it the same process?
It all depends on the antenna color and frequency of the opener and keypad. Sometimes you just need to press learn button then pin. Other times it’s a process. Instructions should be on the keypad as well.

Sometimes you get lucky
I just wiped the sensor lense and it was worked. Still shows a yellow light though.
Yellow light should always be on. So should the green one. If the green is out re align it.

Mine still wont close. Is one light supposed to be yellow? And ine green? Or both supposed to be green?
One should be solid yellow. The other should be solid green, but the green one is the one that will go out or blink. Check for a cut wire or bend them till they make a solid connection.
can you open this maxum jdc with an app on your phone? I know it does regular liftmaster hand held remotes but was wondering is the WiFi just for trouble shooting.
Yes it works with the myq app. That’s one of their big selling points

Make sure the lights on both sensors are on. I had one that was off and found the wire got cut.

it did not work press and held the *# stopped blinking hit the yellow button the above garage unit than back to program number and enter still boinked hit zero stopped blinking .but doesn't work
Try just pressing the yellow button and pressing your 4 digit code then enter. See if that works.

Corresponding button means you can program three individual remotes: Button I for the first remote, Button II for the second remote, and Button III for the third remote. Each will be done SEPARATELY.

Once I program the keypad the key fobs stop working. Any advice and vice versa?
Your opener could be at its max allowed accessories. So it could be losing the remote when the keypad gets programmed. Try erasing everything and starting fresh.
