SEASONS: What We Love and What We Could Do Without
love the cruise logo and vinyl name decals on the cup, would you mind sharing where you got them from?
We ordered the decals from a shop on Etsy, but I had issues with the shop I purchased ours from, so I wouldn't recommend them. However, here is a link to a shop that has been recommended by other RUclipsrs for Fish Extenders: www.etsy.com/shop/Texasloftdesigns?ref=shop_sugg_market The linked shop is called Texas Loft Designs. While this shop came highly recommended, I was not able to order from them because the shop was on a holiday pause when I needed to purchase (because I kind of waited until the last minute). I would recommend ordering as early as you can, so you don't have that issue.
I really appreciate that you actually showed a lot of personal footage and didn't just use stock footage I see repeated in a lot of other hungry root reviews.
Thank you! I'm glad to hear it was helpful for you.
Pumpkin spice anything always!
I'm sure you saw my Trader Joe's haul on Instagram. I basically buy everything pumpkin every week this time of year. Ha!!
Thank you for taking the time to reply even though you know longer are using it.
Of course! I hope the video is helpful even if HR didn't work out for us in the long run.
@@CWintheWCMay I ask why it didn't work out?
I love that about the packaging!! That really makes me feel good about ordering from them. Definitely want to try this now
Yes! The packaging was a huge relief. I was afraid there would be a ton of waste. I was pleasantly surprised, and I thought the plant food packs were a great idea.
What is the sodium levels like in their foods, specifically the meats since they are pre seasoned? Thanks
I didn't really pay attention to the sodium levels. I'm sorry. We have decided to stop using HR since posting this video, so I no longer have any of their pre-made meats to look at. However, the Kevin's brand sells their sauces. I found some at a local grocery store, and I have a couple in the cupboard. One says 310mg/13% the other packet says 240mg/10%. I hope that's helpful.
4:10 bless you 😂
I love this! I had to go back and see who sneezed. Ha!
Very nice what you gave & got. Sounds like bring an extra luggage bag. Thanks for showing
You're welcome! I do recommend packing an extra bag that can be folded and stowed if you don't end up using it.
🤦🏽♀️I am moving in to another video. Girl, let your husband finish a sentence! You constantly interrupt him!! Goodness!!
We have had this exact conversation! Let me tell you, doing these videos have been a lesson in self awareness. I have been working on being more patient and letting Chris speak. Thank you for your feedback.
We did the 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy back in May and these video is bringing back so many wonderful memories.
I'm so glad!! We love to watch cruise vlogs and reminisce about our cruise too. It always makes us want to cruise again. We have about 170 days to the next one. Can't wait!!
Whitney. Your hair is so cute.
Thank you! I was embracing the humidity.
TIP! On my first Disney cruise I did this. Go to the adult only pool area Satellite falls at dark and walk around the wind shields towards the front you should be looking out over the bow of the ship! Its an absolute amazing sight and feeling !
I love that! We didn't do any wondering on the top deck in the dark. We will definitely do that on the next one. Thanks for the tip!
just be careful it can get quite windy up there!!
So depressing i cant afford to go
Yes, I wish Disney (especially Disney cruises were more affordable). We love cruising Disney, and we will keep doing it, but we are also open to trying other cruise lines.
Great review! I am just starting the process of learning about this type of service.....I hate cooking! I think Hungryroot is not a match for me if the portions are small. My husband would starve. Thanks for this video. Y'all are such a beautiful couple!♥
Thank you so much!! I hate cooking as well, so I completely understand. We ultimately determined HR wasn't for us either, and the portion sizes were a big part of that decision. Good luck in your search. I hope you find one that works for you.
I’ve tried all the services and HR is my fav. I’ve been ordering on and off for a few years and they never disappoint. I’ve had a few issues here and there in the summer with the ice packs leaking and being all gross but HR makes it super easy to get refunds on things. I love how they send you the whole package of something, I always have extra and can use it in other stuff.
Yes, their customer service is great. I do also love that you can skip particular ingredients because you still have some left from a previous order. I'm glad to hear after experiencing so many meal services you like HR the best.
For motion sickness I would highly recommend Ship Ezzz patches. After finding out the hard way I typically get motion sickness on cruises. In May when we sailed on the Wish my son and I used the patches and neither of us had any issues and there are no side effects.
I wondered about the patch options. It would certainly be easier than remembering to take a pill each day. Did you have to get that from your doctor?
You guys had the best seat in the house. Nice vid.
Thank you! Yes, we were very fortunate to have access to such a great view of the race. It's been our first experience with NASCAR.
Great review. HR is the 4th service that I'm trying. The first box will arrive in a few days. I've tried Home Chef, Hello Fresh, and Marley Spoon. I want to find a meal service that I feel comfortable with that offers variety, quality products and value. But the biggest thing I want to avoid is the time spent meal planning. I am soooo tired of that after decades of having it fall on me. And, since it is just my husband and now, I am tired of wasting food that can only be purchased by unit and not by pound. I don't need enough of any one thing to feed a dozen people, I just need enough to create a dinner and hopefully a lunch for my husband the next day. I figure that I throw away more regular grocery purchases than I spend on this type of service. Home Chef and Marley spoon were both fine with sending out already rotting produce. Home Chef would place veggies on top of the ice packs causing them to freeze and turn to mush. Home Chef also is notorious about counting the weight of the packaging and injected water towards the serving size. 10 oz of meat (for two people) was what they would say they include but weighing the meat after taking it out of the plastic and draining away the liquid might yield 6 oz of meat total. Hello Fresh was very repetitive and I got bored quickly. They all would pre-curate weekly menus with no regards to the fact that every meal features green beans that week or roasted potatoes with every meal. meh So, I am intrigued with the "grocery" aspect of HR. If I don't like the vegetable offered with a meal, I can remove that vegetable and use the credit toward a vegetable that I would prefer. I'm seeing simple shopping with no waste for simple dishes like beef larb lettuce wraps from the grocery side. I even saw a simmer sauce that I can no longer find in the grocery stores that I love so I used my snack credits to buy the sauce (Vindaloo), some chicken breasts, a bag of seasoned rice and some naan. Quick meal that I know that my husband and I will enjoy. We'll see how it goes. Our grocery stores are stocking more and more meal kits nowadays. I just hate the idea of driving in heavy traffic on a daily basis to get a fresh kit since I wouldn't be sure of "Best By" date and probably couldn't expect the prepared kits to last more than a couple of days in the fridge.
I was very impressed with the freshness and overall quality of HR meals. My favorite things were the ease of every meal and that I no longer had to meal plan. The mental toll meal planning takes was too much. HR definitely eases that burden. I hope it works for you and simplifies things.
Kinda shitty that it got rained on twice. Hopefully next year will work out
I know! Right? At least Saturday was beautiful. It's a shame they didn't start the race earlier on Sunday. It's like the rain waited for the race to start, which was a bummer. Fingers crossed for no rain next year.
I loved hearing the “Go Austin” from a lady who didn’t even know the flags in the beginning 😂 I’m glad you all experienced and took it all in! Being from the NASCAR capital of the U.S., I take for granted others that may not know the ins and outs of NASCAR or how much work go into preparing for just a simple event let alone one on your scale there. I hope you all enjoyed and will be watching next year! Thanks for watching
Thank you! Yes, the street race has been my only experience with Nascar, but I've really enjoyed it. Maybe we'll have to go see a regular style race some time.
Just keep in mind that whenever you put up Videos in which you & Whitney are together, be sure that every Video begins with Whitney keeping her Smile on her face.
Thank you for this video, it was so neat to see a video not only from this angle but also from somebody who is just experiencing it for the first time!!
Thank you so much! We've enjoyed getting to experience racing. Maybe it will be a new passion for us. It's definitely fun to have it happen so close to home.
Just keep in mind that if you try the Elf On The Shelf thing for Christmas, here are the 25 Names you can choose from for your future Girl Elf. 1: Tinseltina 2: Rose-A-Linda 3: Sweetie 4: Snowflake 5: Sparkles 6: Holly 7: Poinsettia 8: Snuggles 9: Sage 10: Noelle 11: Aethelreda 12: Penny 13: Glitter 14: Gabrielle 15: Albina 16: Christina 17: Blizzard 18: Snowy 19: Sparkle 20: Rosie 21: Gingersnap 22: Snickerdoodle 23: Brownie 24: Cherry 25: Winter

You & Whitney are so cute together in front of her hands & nose!
Do you remember which Disney Princess is Whitney’s favorite?
There are a lot of them, but Ariel has been tried and true.
I would figure that this shows that Whitney is happy to be having you be her Partner in front of her hands & nose!
Rapunzel would be so happy if she sees this!
I hope that the 2 of you get chosen to play Match Your Mate & if that’s the case, try to put up at least 1 Picture or Video if it’s possible & if you match your Partner’s Answer, high-five your Partner.
Match your mate would be so much fun. Maybe we will next time.
@@CWintheWC Also only include the Parts where you & your Partner are together & you & your Partner should be the only Couple onscreen.
Featuring you & Whitney with Whitney happy to be having you be her Partner in front of her hands & nose while Whitney is the happy to be having you be her Partner Girl with her hands & nose!
Where did you get the bags from?
I got the collapsible bags on Amazon. Here is the link: Collapsible reusable bags: a.co/d/64cHf4I
By the way, I do have links to all of the things we gave in the description of this video, if that's helpful.
How do you pack if you have cups in each bags for a fe gift?? I am at a loss on how to do this
I packed everything in bulk and then I assembled them on the ship. So, the cups were packed in my suitcase all stacked together and in the box they were shipped in from Amazon. It made it much easier, safer, and took up less space in my suitcase on the way there. I hope that helps! Good luck, and enjoy your cruise.
From the groups I've seen, it's best not to do cups. Apparently everyone is doing them and you end up with tons and it's not actually all that useful.
I like Dole Whips, but it isn’t a must have and can get it locally-so it is not a big deal. I have never eaten a Mickey bar or Mickey ice cream sandwich in the parks, but do occasionally get both for my family at the grocery store. Love all the rides & Disney Cruise line as a whole, but have never done the Disney Dining Plan or stayed at a Disney resort hotel (but have done both at Universal Studios Orlando in the past). Animal Kingdom is our 2nd favorite park (EPCOT being the first) and we did buy a Minnie Mouse Bow popcorn bucket in Japan because you get reduced priced refills We don’t visit Disney Springs on every trip, but do like going there on a non park day (as long as it is during the day and on a weekday). We loved our breakfast character meal at the Garden Grill-knowing that we would get plenty of interaction with Chip and Dale, Mickey, and Pluto (and we enjoyed the food too), but the best character interactions we have had were on the Disney Cruise (Captain Jack, 6 different Princesses, Pirate Stitch, Marvel characters, etc). We are not huge beach people either, but really enjoyed snorkeling with the sting rays, so enjoyed Castaway Cay, but would enjoy other ports too I think. We like fireworks, but do not go out of our way to see them while at the parks. We enjoyed them on the cruise and we love the Fantasmic show, but either leave the parks before firework shows or go on rides during the shows generally.
Love it! Epcot is our number one park too, and we love visiting Universal as well. I agree with you 100% on the character interactions on the cruise, they're so good! We haven't tried Garden Grill yet, but I've heard it is one of the better character meals. We'll be back in Disney World in November and then again in January. Maybe we'll have to do a video on all the new rides. There are so many new ones since we've been.
It's very hot at Disney World right now. If you like the heat, now is the time to go. One thing to do next time you come to Disney is visit one of the water parks.
It's been a lot of years, but I have visited Typhoon Lagoon before. I'd like to try Blizzard Beach at some point. We'll be back in Disney World in November and then again in January. We do tend to go in the cooler parts of the year to beat the heat, or at least try to.
You’re doing a great job! The hotel is so opulent. Loved the shopping and eating parts. Good luck with the channel!
Thank you!! We appreciate it. We're having a blast! Thank you for watching.
Thank you,im 52 so it will always be the Sears tower to me
100% It'll always be the Sears and the Hancock will always be the Hancock.
Agree with your great video. Born and Raised in the Chicagoland area. Moved after living there for 50 years to Florida. Number one reason I moved away was because of the winters. Lived through the 70s and 80s when there were 80+ below 0 wind chills. Those were very cold days. Also the winters can be very long and gray looking. I do miss the food, the culture. The best time of the year is summer and fall. You can keep winter and spring. Still Chicago is in my heart
I completely understand. The winters can be long for sure. Thankfully, we enjoy the cold weather, but I know that may not last forever. Maybe a winter home in Florida will be in our future. Ha!
I love fish extenders!!!! I had five families in my group when I cruised on the fantasy back in 2017, and I loved giving things out each day. I plan to sign up in a FE group for my Disney Wish cruise next summer in June '25.
I love it! We'll be on the Wish in 2025 as well. I hope you have a fantastic cruise!
Please help ! I figured it would be easier to go ahead and bag it all up so when we got on the ship we could just pass them out
I'm not a big fan of balconies and the top edge of the ship. I have some height issues. We have always booked the Oceanview room, and the window is so big and there is such a nice feel of privacy when you leave it open. Good info, thanks for the tip on the motion nightlight, tripping and moving about in the dark at night is an issue and the night light would really help!
That's really great to hear about the oceanview! I'm excited to try out an oceanview room on our Wish cruise. I hadn't really thought about the heights on the verandah. What decks have you tried out verandahs? I like the mid-floors, 7/8. Maybe those are too bad?
@CWintheWC My first Disney cruise was in a room with a balcony on the upper decks somewhere above 4. I didn't like the hastle of the glass door and I had two kids 10 and 12 at the time and I was always worried about them being outside alone on the balcony. Since then I've done Oceanview rooms and I just prefer the layout of the room it just feels bigger and I enjoy sitting in the big chair in front of the window and watching when the ship is at sea!
That makes a ton of sense. In fact, my sister's kids are the reason we're doing oceanview on our Wish cruise because they will be cruising with us. I'm sure we'll love it. I'm glad to hear that it feels more spacious. Definitely looking forward to that.
@@spinetickspressingAlso do you remember if you’re Team Chris or Team Whitney?
When we cruise we also bring our own travel hangers, so we can hang all of our shirts/pants/dresses in the closets right away (makes it easier to pick out your outfits in the morning and keeps them from wrinkling as well), a silicone sleeve for a curling iron, a small hanging mesh toiletry bag for things you would normally have either in the shower or on your bathroom counter (razors, toothbrushes, deodorant, toothpaste, etc), our own travel size of liquid hand soap, travel reusable straws, and a collapsible laundry hamper for the closet. When we went on 2 port excursions, we brought water shoes and zippered wet bags to store them in to keep our wet swim suits and water shoes in the keep everything else in our beach bag dry. Be sure to bring your own door magnets to decorate your door with to be part of the fun and easily identify your stateroom door as well.
I bought water shoes specifically for this trip, and I was soooo glad to have them! I love the mesh toiletry bag too. That's a great idea!
It was recommended for our shore excursion to have water shoes to interact with dolphins (you stand in the water on metal platforms) and we were also glad we had them. The mesh toiletry caddy was very handy for not only my husband and I, but for our tween daughter as well. It really helped keep our room so clean and organized. When our room Stewart would come in there was never anything on our counters, floors, or on our beds (except my unplugged curling iron), so it made his job so easy.
I love that!
You must have been so hungry! Love how quickly the dogs got attached.
Oh my goodness, yes, we were starving! I have got to do better at planning food on travel days. Maybe one of these days I'll learn. Ha!!
I also still carry masks for illness, cold winds, and the inevitable stinky public transport ride. Your bag items seem very practical and realistic which is a breath of fresh air in all these hyper consumerist videos I tend to get recommended by the RUclips algorithm. 👍
Thank you! We appreciate that.
Your videos are so beautiful
Thank you! We have been really enjoying putting them together.
When you going back on a Disney cruise?
I wish I could live on a Disney cruise, or at least in Epcot, but sadly, we won't be back on board until January of next year. I (Whitney) do have a WDW trip planned for the fall. Can't wait!
❤❤❤❤
Whitney I have the same sweatshirt as you lol
It is my favorite!! Chris surprised me with it at Christmas.
There is a Blink Art Supply on Randolph.
Yes, we love Blick! It just doesn't have the offering Michael's does for cross stitching and embroidery.
Thanks for posting this and all your other videos. We’re going on our first cruise soon, and it’s the same ship and itinerary as yours, so we’ve been watching all your videos and they’ve been really helpful. We’ve also just ordered some magnetic hooks having spent the past few months convinced that whilst everyone spoke about them we wouldn’t need them 😂
I'm so glad this has been helpful for you. I learned so much watching vlogs before our cruise. It's great to see others experiences to try to plan what you need to bring or might like to do. In fact, we found out about the Pirate Museum in St. Thomas from other vloggers. I loved your comment about the magnetic hooks! We were the same way, I think it took basically everyone on RUclips talking about them to full convince me, and man did we use them!
Thanks for posting this. We did the same 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy after Thanksgiving last fall and I walked 5 to 7.5 laps every day at a 4 mph pace so I could try out all the yummy food choices and not gain 10 pounds. My GPS fitness watch (Polar) could not figure out mileage so I went by steps. I’d be moving 22 mph when walking forward and 14 mph when moving aft so I figured the ship was going about 18 mph. I’m not the morning person you are, so using the track at night had many kamikaze encounters as people came out the doors and went clockwise instead of counter clockwise. Also, on the starboard forward side by the theater lobby doors up to the covered section they allow smoking at night so when the Walt Disney theater was between shows I’d have to hold my breathe for about 300’. All in all it was still nice to have a one level track to walk on. Our last night before Castaway Cay was very rough seas and you would come down about one step to the right and then to the left as the ship rocked. Made for a very good balance training power walk. We’re on the Wish 4/8 to 4/12. I’ll take a video of the workout center and the walking areas and post it if it comes out OK
That’s great idea to go by steps. I didn’t even think about it. I guess I’m just so used to keeping up with miles. I’ll keep that tip in mind for future. I wondered about what it would be like in the afternoons or evenings. We saw some runners and walkers in the afternoons. I hadn’t thought about having to dodge people coming out of the doors, but I can see that being a bit treacherous, especially at night. I loved having the track all around the ship, so I’m a little worried about the newer ships. I would love to hear about your experience on the Wish. That trip is coming up really soon! With it being on different levels, I’m assuming it won’t be a great option for exercise, so I’ll just have to stick to the fitness center. I think trying to navigate the stairs would be too much for my knees and my clumsiness.
Those reuben empanadas have me reconsidering how strict I am about being a vegetarian. 😊
Ha! I know, right? They were definitely worth having gluten, that's for sure!
