Kind of a mix. Being an old bastard, the early 90’s was when I was most into wrestling as a kid, so I always look for great CAWs from that era. But I did check out The Smackdown Hotel’s yearly rosters to make sure I wasn’t forgetting anyone obvious. And I always have this grand plan of starting around there and then adding wrestlers over the years, all the way up to modern day wrestlers (but keeping some of my favorite old timers, as though they don’t age). We’ll see how far I get this time. Will be nice when the WCW dlc pack comes out, that’ll free a few CAW spots.

Oh man, that’s something that I clearly don’t do a good job of ha. But there are some settings you can mess with that could help. The main one probably would be to change how quickly the wrestlers get their finishers/signature moves - if you choose fast, and have the finishers set to do a lot of damage, it should speed up the matches pretty well.

There’s an online menu in the game you can get to where you can download arenas, pictures, wrestlers, titles, and other stuff that’s easy to get to, the trick is finding the best version of each wrestler. For 2K23, I’d recommend getting on twitter/X and following some of these guys: WhatsTheStatus, IconsOfTheRing, DrGorillaNuts, PhenomCAWs, Azorthious…there’s a bunch more. And you can find RUclips videos that go over some of the best CAWs people have found. Assemble is a great RUclips channel to follow for WWE game news.

I think you’re definitely correct in terms of generating more views and subscribers, though an extremely nerdy part of me kind of likes having the full matches like it’s an actual episode of Nitro or Saturday Night’s Main Event…but something to think about

WWE2K23, just with a lot of create-a-wrestlers downloaded from some amazingly talented creators! You can find almost any old school wrestlers on there, makes up for the too-few legends including in the game.

The matches are computer vs computer matches. I try not to interfere TOO much (though if Barry Horowitz beat Hulk Hogan or something, I may restart the match…)

Yeah so I’m kind of just putting guys who were around at least within 10 years of each other together on this playthrough (or if I stumble on a really good CAW) - even if the time frames don’t quite match up exactly. Planning on going all the way up to modern day wrestling in time, and might even keep some old school wrestlers around until then. Might be able to give a ton of dream matchups from across the years. Yeah man, what you’re doing is almost exactly what I enjoy, love simulating NFL, NBA, MLB - basically all sports games. The only problem is getting it to be somewhat realistic sometimes. I had a hell of a time with Madden 23 throwing a million interceptions. Really hoping the NCAA football game that comes out next summer won’t have that happen. But I’d be down for a collab sometime, I subscribed to your channel - keep up the great work!

This is WWE2K23 on PS5, with a bunch of downloaded legends from the community creations. I’d love for a bunch more legends to be included in the base game for WWE2K24 next year, but wouldn’t hold my breath. Probably about the same number as every year.

No that was on the community downloads for 2K23. I’ll need to double check when I get home. So many incredible creations by some talented people on there. I don’t know how they do it.

Definitely need more legends included in the game. I never understood why they couldn’t figure out some deal to get any non-AEW legend in some large library of superstars to purchase in packs or on their own. It would make so much money. But I suppose there has to be SOME limit of available characters to use.

He’s got the heart of a champion in this WWE universe! 😂 But for real, it’s crazy how no matter the disparity of the ratings between two wrestlers in this game how close the match will look on cpu vs cpu.

Ha you’re prob right. Most of these I just let happen via CPU vs CPU. Occasionally I refuse to accept the results and restart the match, but for the most part I try to just accept what happens, even if it’s a huge upset.

For like the show intros? I used a small recording of the shows in wwe2k19 I think
