I saw my first canada warbler this year, they are beautiful birds!
Yes, they sure are beautiful!
Comment your favourite bird encounter this spring/summer!
My favourite is a female spruce grouse I saw in a spruce bog, she let me get real close!
@@NarutoUzumaki-sb3np cool, i saw one this year in algonquin
Mine has to be the blackburnian Warbler, It was exciting getting that great footage. Black-throated blues are always great as well!
Loons are awesome birds! Comment your favourite loon encounter!
Mine is when I was canoeing at dawn, with a bit of fog rising, and a pair of loons came right up close to the canoe and began calling.
My favourite is when hearing them at dusk on northern lakes
The loon calls are haunting, but calming at the same time!
@@NarutoUzumaki-sb3np yeah, nothing beats that feeling of canoeing on an early morning lake right as the sun is coming up, with a bit of fog rising from the lake, and hearing the loons calling....
The editing is looking great in this video! The quality will keep increasing!
Yes, we're working on it! If anyone has any suggestions it'd be greatly appreciated.
I do realize they're theme park monsters, and they are going for shock/awe over realism, but I still find it interesting to compare with what it's supposed to be. Though the mosasaur is hilariously inaccurate, and it's even bigger in Fallen Kingdom, even after not eating like anything for six months...
Wow, that is a really beautiful common garter!
Yeah, the mosa was hilariously big, and feeding it great whites seems illegal.... and like a small snack for an animal this large. Also, its weight would probably make in impossible to breach right?
well, blue whales can breach, but with this over double their size I'm not sure. especially since blue whale is the largest animal (well, heaviest), ever so we have nothing real to compare it to.
Everyone loves loons, and I find it funny that the automatic subtitles caption the loons call as [laughter]
Increase your voice it hard to hear you even with earphone im having hard time to hear you
Thanks for the input, ill make sure to make it louder in edit. Thanks for the tip!
@@SenDrevScience your welcome
White people 🙄 😒
Were the pillows worth it? NO, it's unfair!
Definitely not worth it....

Awesome birds, sad we'll never see them alive...
Yeah, wish they were still around. But who knows, maybe we'll end up bringing them back via cloning?
Wow good
Nope. The western meadowlark is
Ah, I haven't had the privilege to see a western meadowlark yet, but I've seen the eastern meadowlarks, which look similar. And they definitely are beautiful birds!
Proper content 👌 👏 thanks for posting 📫 made my day ❤️
Thanks for watching!
Blackburnian Warblers are one of my favourites!
Warblers are very challenging to film with their quick movements, but this blackburnian warbler footage is great!
Awesome! You did my request! I always find the phylogeny interesting, never would have guessed that avocets are closer to plovers then sandpipers!
@@NarutoUzumaki-sb3np thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy the phylogeny!
great vid!!! :DDD the only thing is i almost gave up watching bc of how loud the wind blowing in your speaker was :'( with headphones it's rlly rlly loud. i know this can almost never be avoided, but consider muting/decreasing the volume of the grebe clips? (i'm assuming you record your voice over the footage!) thank you for sharing, this is so cool!
Thanks for watching! Yes, the wind is quite loud in this one. in the most recent video i decreased the volume of the footage, so the wind isn't getting in the way.
Beautiful snake, the only species i regularly see
Agreed, they are awesome snakes
Snakes are always cool! Which species should we analyse next?
I've always been interested by how sandpipers feed. Maybe do the american avocet? They are really cool looking.
Honestly, I too would be confused about the horned grebe. I, upon first glance, may think it was a duck. I would doubt myself after I looked at its beak though. I'm glad I watched this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A new bird for me, although i knew the name. They swim so very fast!! And their dive is so fluid like a streak and they’re gone. Their mating ritual is beautiful. Thanks much. I’m going to check out your other videos. :)🦩not a🦆🌷🌱
Yes, grebes are so quick swimming with their far back legs!
Nobody over 4 years old thinks that is a duck... basic education, biology, etc...
@@SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands in my experience lots of people i've encountered do think grebes are ducks. I've shown photos of horned grebes to college age people and their response is: "isn't that just a duck?" Then I tell them they're actually closer related to flamingos.... Now if they are into birding/zoology then most of them do know the difference.
Unnecessarily rude comment bruhhh
You know that phrase, "walks like a duck, quacks like a duck"? Well I'm going to assume your a duck & that's part of your offence at the rather common confusion.
The sound of the wind in the microphone is quite distracting.
Yeah, ill have to try and decrease that
WindRemover by CrumplePop might be useful. @SenDrevScience
agreed. I had to watch several times to understand that horned grebes are closest to flamingos. Do horned grebes fly at all?
@@davidhunternyc1 Yes they do.
Excellent! Ty! Can you please consider doing the woodcock? I just love them. They don’t live anywhere near me. They are definitely on my must see bird bucket list. ❤
Great suggestion! Glad you enjoyed it.
😍
Oops, Bohemian, lol. We have the cedar in Northen California.
Oh yeah, the cedars come in the summer then then bohemians come in the winter here in canada.
Omg another fav! Cedar waxwing. They descend in flocks to the madrone berries when ripe. Such a show it is. They take over my bird baths at this time as well. ❤
Yes, beautiful birds they are!
😍😍😍
Another of my favs. They visit our property when berries are happening. Oregon Grape, toyon & dogwood. I’m in the process of adding more Oregon Grape for them. Ty for covering this very beautiful bird!
Glad you enjoyed! They are rare migrants in calgary, where i filmed this.
They are such amazing birds. I’ve been enjoying watching them each time I go to the Sierra Nevada mountain streams. One of my fav birds. They are often overlooked. Earned my new subscription ❤
Thanks! They are amazing, could spend hours watching them, even though it was freezing cold in the winter!
@Clintsreptiles
Do people not know that grebes aren't ducks? I knew that since… I dunno, sometime in elementary school
Honestly, most people actually think they are ducks. Unless of course they are into birding/zoology. Same with coots, gallinules, etc.
This Animal Analysis episode is great. Lots of information, and really good footage; especially of the mating/breeding habits.
Very informative nice work 👍

Easy to lose sight of these guys due to their camoflauge
The Animal Analyses of the Western Bluebird and Horned grebe will be released soon, and some more are in the works! Any animal suggestions appreciated.
Cool bird!
Always enjoy seeing pine grosbeaks, this one was seen right near the university of calgary main campus
Amazing little bird!❤
Aquatic songbirds, never knew about them until this episode.
I filmed this footage in Alberta, so the subspecies will be Cinclus mexicanus unicolor if anyone was wondering.
Hopefully I can see one sometime when I go to the rocky mountains!
What species should we analyse next?
You should do magpies next! Those guys are awesome!
I guess EL Ninõ helped it a lot this year!
It probably did, yeah
Its got a weird head
He's a cool duck!
