The narrative should be that he played in the shadow of Dwayne Lewis and Donald Royal in 1983. As a matter of fact, he didn;t start in most of the games that year. He didn't shine until the championship game, where he played a tremendous game. He was a hard worker and very open and humble. He really put the assist game in high gear at Southern University. He had a positive spirit that helped the entire team to excel. He was a focused and spirited personality -- very uplifting! He was destined to be a great basketball coach and motivational speaker because of this :-)
