Ok I'm trying out your suggestions. What time of armor should I use?

@@5-minreviewer677 Standard armor. I've used XL-325 engine, endosteel structure and of course double heatsinks (all 13 in the XL-engine). Then I stripped 10 points of armor of the arms, 23 of the legs and 16 of the head, while frontloading all of my armor on center and sidetorsos (1 point at the back). As for the skills... I've maxed cooldown, range, heat and velocity while taking all the missile nodes in the firepower tree. Grabbed all the armor, for once skipping structure (great armor quirks and it's got ECM to sneak around while dealing that 102,5 alpha three times even with ghostheat from two MRM40's). Max cool run and heat containment, while running three nodes of radar derp and the two ECM nodes and a double coolshot for murdering people faster with it.

@@5-minreviewer677 i have a degree of tolerance, but im TIRED of lame western jokes, agenda insertion, censureship AND escessive censoreship, etc that i see A LOT in games and other media, quite often the meaning is changed (exapmle: in blue archive, a very emotional character is undergoing a heavely distressing situation and the option localicers gave to make the protagonist turn into her emotional support was way too distant), sometimes giving a completelly different understanding of the situation, (errassing honorifics makes it very difficult to assess their interpersonal relationship), and so on... and longer speeches dont make better understanding, i was ok with the shorter one, although lengthening it is maximum i can stand, so its not that bad in that regard

From my own perspective it's a combination of things causing this social dilemma. There are undoubtedly uses of political correctness that trend towards censorship; that is undeniable. But it's not like the religious right of America is not heavily known for their pushing even stricter adherence to censorship for most of the lifespan of modern media. I think mostly it's a combination of people of today growing up in a rare period where genuine freedom of thought and expression was fully available due to the early internet, before it was wrangled in the past decade. We had a good nearly twenty year period where it felt like censorship was declining and now with a number of sexualized content in games being censored and dismissed when things like hot tub streams on Twitch exist, it can come off like a ridiculous double standard. It is of course entirely different situations on very different fronts of social issues, but to those that don't understand the history leading to these simultaneous things it can come off as crazy When you tie that to wilful misrepresentation in the political sphere and booming middleman political grift economy that is running rampant on social media, well... People with political end goals in mind will use and manipulate these aspects of culture to suit their narratives. And that is what woke us in the end: A nebulous sort of there sort of not collection of pseudo-related things that both political parties manipulate towards their own ends in various ways. In most ways it is a very overblown overreaction to what is more than likely a slightly intrusive overcorrection of media that will lighten up once society becomes less heated, and in other ways it is a cartoonish oversimplification of the multifaceted pressures facing society today.

From a conservative standpoint, being "woke" is things like the Spider-Man (Remastered, released 2022) game having LGBT flags on a whole bunch of buildings in the game's version of New York City, and then banning the mod that replaces those flags with American flags. Things like having a pro Black Lives Matter message appear in the beginning of the game as part of the loading screen, that is just a blatant political statement that has nothing to do with the game. It's stuff like that. Some games don't have any woke things in them, some have a little bit that is either subtle or tolerable, and some go like Spider-Man and try to fully shove it down your throat.

Woke started as a phrase used in American black culture to refer to someone who has become aware of the systemic racism in our culture. If you are "woke", then you're not "asleep" meaning you're not dreaming that the world treats you equally while police brutality systematically targeting innocent black people and killing them in the streets. Then the major political parties got a hold of it and did what they do best. They warped it into propaganda tools. On the left "woke" suddenly expanded to other causes like women's rights and eventually just support for Hillary Clinton's campaign, and around then it fell out of use by the left because they completely ruined the word, dissolving any and all of its original meaning. They found it, used it, abused it, and left it for dead. That's around the time the right wing got a hold of it. No shade, but the right wing is always about 5 to 10 years late to new cultural phrases like these and approach them like a dad who's trying to be hip with outdated slang. In this case, though, they started making it about trans flags, abortion, women protagonists in media, and every other thing they disagree with. What woke means in its ultimate form is "awake to systemic issues". When right wing people used to shout "wake up sheeple!" on Fox news, they were literally commanding people to become "woke" to the systemic issues that they believed in. Those systemic issues being that Hillary had hired hit men, that Obama had worn khaki pants and once forgot his American flag lapel pin, and that the libs were making the frogs gay. Now I'm not saying any of those are wrong. I know for a fact that Obama wore khaki pants and forgot his American flag lapel pin once, and it's also a fact that frogs do switch gender just like it was accurately portrayed in Jurassic Park despite being a fiction. But the important thing here is to get "woke" right. That all being said, the use of "woke" for modern media is correct. The argument against modern media becoming "woke" is that the modern media is not doing enough to veil its political statements. While yes all of the most famous and successful media in the past has political stances if examined to determine its stance, they generally did a better job of hiding any connections to real world politics behind a healthy layer of allegory and/or comedy with very few exceptions. Even those more veiled media, however, are being reexamined and outed by modern internet journalists, and in the end it seems like all of our media is becoming politically charged. Unfortunately, this is not something either the right or left can change or prevent. What we're seeing is the result of the internet and free exchanging of ideas, or freedom of speech and press. It's not going anywhere, because every piece of media will be subject to a global crowd computing (that's crowd, not cloud) where there are thousands of individuals and conglomerates interested in analyzing media and discussing its meaning and message online for all to see and hear. Until our technology and culture evolves beyond the use of the internet itself, this will not go away ever. The only next step is that the right wing will simply make their own woke media as an answer to the left who is pushing way too hard at the moment. The word is an adjective which describes that its subject noun is "awake to systemic issues". In this case the noun is "media". If you're wondering how I'm aware of the history of this term, I live in Louisiana where it was invented by the local black culture. I heard it used for years and I think for over a decade before it was ever used by the country at large. The original meaning was very specific and defined, and it has only become confused and difficult to pin down once the left and then right wing politicians got a hold of it, especially Hillary and then Trump. Those two most obnoxious politicians have done more to make the term nearly become worthless than anyone else, but it is what it is. They can't change its meaning. They don't have that kind of power. The word means what it means because the public zeitgeist says it does. Anyway, sorry for the damn thesis paper on it. 😅

Yar, my parents softened their stance over the years. To be fair, they discouraged me when I was younger but they didn't stop me. And they also honored my requests for games as a birthday/Christmas present.

Honestly I hope wokeness is just a fad and honestly I feel like sometimes video games can tackle issues better then some movies or tv shows could and can. Don't get me wrong sometimes those issues can fall flat due to the limitations of gaming but other times they are done almost as well as an any other form of art if not better.

Most of you grew up in the early 2000's to early 2010's, so I understand that you don't truly realize how unbelievably censored media and even society on the whole has been for... _well, most of human history tbqh._ You happened to grow up in this beautiful golden zone right after the internet became a major social changer in the world and before people in power found a way to re-monopilize everything under their control. I'm old enough that I was probably still your elder now when conservatives and Christian groups were constantly crying that the Simpsons was going to lead to the downfall of civilization. Games and any form of animation were automatically children's media, and that came with an absurd number of caveats. All of the people raging against woke localizers and woke Sony and whatever else right now have no idea how much worse things were for this stuff. There are dozens; maybe hundreds, of series that were utterly butchered to appeal to _"American sensibilities"_ of the time, ruining characters, removing scenes, editing to remove symbols and blood, Frankensteining multiple episodes or even entirely separate shows together to have enough content for the episode after everything was torn apart. We really only had a 15 year period or so where these things mostly died down, and even then you would still get stuff like that from companies like 4Kids Entertainment with various anime series. What you need to understand is that none of the things you see as issues of wokeness are an inherent aspect of people you see as your ideological opponents, it's just a method of people in power using whatever current social narratives are popular at the time to achieve the same ends. When conservatism had a stronger grip on society these same companies would censor these same exact things because they were anti-Biblical. When the progressives have a stronger social hold now it's about protecting women, etc. The same end result achieved by the same companies managed by; _in many cases,_ the same people in both eras. It really is just in the interest of using the social struggles of the moment as a cover for social control. For people like that, this brief window of openness that you grew up in was a total accident caused by an insatiable call of greed. The capacity to make a fortune with bringing the internet to the populace was too great to pass things up. People in power realized how terrible a mistake opening up simultaneous connection between everyone was but Pandora's box was already opened as it were. It took some time to reign things in again. Nobody visits various websites, nearly all internet traffic is centralized into a few points of interest. Even when you have the opportunity to make money off of content you produce it has to be by their established rules, as anyone trying to make a career on RUclips today understands. What we are going through with _"wokeness"_ atm is part of all of this. I do think that it's a little more complicated than this though. In the case of videogames, as they continue to make more money than firmly entrenched establishments like Hollywood the more mainstream they invariably become. Throwaway games were often used used as a movie tie-in product. You don't really see this practice anymore, we haven't for multiple console generations at this point. Back during the NES-Gamecube generations they were all over the place. There were occasionally after that too, but now they're almost entirely absent. The medium is too ingrained in popular culture and the older parents that didn't understand games aren't buying these as gifts for children anymore, there's no space for that kind of cheap money to work. So with the greater emphasis on games they're thrust into the public spotlight. Parents are made more aware of the more unsavory aspects of videogames, and parents of every generation are easily frightened by the media about supposed threats to their children. A good rule of thumb is that if there is a wideblown panic in relation to children, 99 out of a hundred times it is manufactured by media corporations and intended to lead to some end goal or another that we are only seeing a small fraction of. I've seen it over and over and over again, and I can't really think of a single time where it wasn't oveblown to some crazy extent. So I think parental fears are one part of why this woke angle is being used at the moment. Another is the legitimate perspective that if videogames are going to be respected as an art form then you need to establish a baseline of respectable content. When you look at comics and books and films there is a time and place for titilation and friskiness, but for the most part when you have one of these with artistic aspirations they're not going to have skimpiness and intentional gross out content in them, or it's done in a market friendly manner. At the moment videogames occupy this weird space where they are half toy, half artform. Character designs and tropes established during an era of snickering and ogling tweens, now stuck in this awkward place of trying to push the medium forward as an artistic form and put their best foot forward while still holding onto these more racey aspects that their fandom grew up with. Sometimes it's impossible to square these two things with each other, such as many games needing to dial these aspects down or find socially acceptable avenues of including them. When you take all of these things together and combine it with the business model of limitless exponential growth enforcing regulations on those that work for them... well, we're in an early stage of the homogenization of all societies. Global interconnection makes this an inevitability in the long run, and the infinite expansion of business interests will inevitably lead to global interconnection in a search for bigger sales numbers and more markets. No matter what you think of your political opponents' takes and what the current reasoning of the day behind it is, the real enemies at the heart of this situation are business sense and social control. We have this cursed paradox here, where we would never have gotten all of these varied and incredible experiences from across the world if we never made business contact between distant lands, and yet it is that very search for growth that mashes everything beneath the same yard stick. Unfortunately this means that when the whole woke thing is finally dead it's going to be the conservative party that is going to be providing the socially acceptable reasons for companies to be making the exact same moves. We've already been through this whole song and dance before, it's a swinging pendulum. In all honesty it's already starting to swing that way in some ways. Realistically the only way it's ever going to fully stop is if we as a society learn to stop letting corporations and politicians and media fabricate reasons we need to be scared and what we need to think. Society is just a plaything to those in power, and they'll happily give and take whatever rights suit the moment if it keeps society fighting each other and too busy to notice just how screwed they are.

And yeah you bring up a lot of points one thing that stands out to me is how I was too young to understand how censored media was back in the 90s for me looking back the fact there was so much limited access to media feels like going back to the dark ages lol like I would not want to experience that era again I like how much access to media we have right now even if I don't agree with stuff I see or down right like it to me it's still worth it to have all the access to the media we have.​@@nernguan995

I'm "conservative", and I enjoy games from time to time. I also think people would be better off playing less games. I don't think every single person needs to cut them out entirely, but, it's a strong addiction for a lot of people, and even if this or that individual is not addicted, there's no downside to cutting back. Also, I liked Matt Walsh when he had his own blog ~10 years ago (before DW, and even before The Blaze), even though I don't really pay attention to him, or other political commentators on any political channel anymore. The thing is, while he does deliver his opinions just as blunt as always, he's no more obligated to care about/invest time into any particular hobby, interest, etc. than anyone else. Video games are where the "inside community" cares and knows way more than the average person on the outside, but often assumes the outside knows more than they do. (Search "xkcd average familiarity comic" for a great example of this phenomenon). It's a mix of that, plus Walsh's bias, sure, but it really doesn't matter, because I, as someone who is more familiar with the nuances of games (and the various moral messages they can contain than Walsh is), am still saying people would be better off playing less. TL;DR - Everyone playing games less would be a net positive. Believe it or not, not everyone knows who your favorite JRPG character is, and nobody is obligated to learn the differences lol.
