Now, this is Really disgusting and I will be bringing this matter to the attention of the Jamaican Government! There's no place for this sick, twisted small-minded racism in Jamaica nor, anywhere else for that matter! By the way, I am a Jamaican by birth living in the United Kingdom but, I do visit my home in Jamaica quite often and I'm absolutely appalled, by this disturbing news!😲😡???...

Respect due, keep the development going. Nowhere is being missed. Port Royal sat there for many years with lots of talk about developing it, nothing done. It is important to have the right government or your country will be held back. Port Royal should also get a craft village with bar and restaurants included.

A French-led shipping and port management organization had its interest in Kingston Freeport to a subsidiary, Terminal Link. Terminal Link, until the sale, had been a joint venture of CMA CGM and China Merchants. In the joint venture, CMA CGM held 51 percent of the entity, while China merchants had 49 percent. Now that the situation has changed, CMA CGM, by selling its shares in the 30-year concession agreement for KFTL, has provided China Merchants with total control of the entity. So IT WAS FINE WHEN THE French CONTROL IT?, but now sold majority shares to the Chinese entity, it's just business my friend, China has far more to offer in terms of supply chain, also don't forget how the French Company [Bouygues] abandoned the N/S Highway project half-done, it was the Chinese who rescued the project, my advise to you is, emancipate yourself from mental slavery, the World is now a village, no matter what picture our previous influencers trying to paint..

I know this project will take a long time and plenty financial and human resources to pull off. However, it's been over a decade we've been talking and still can't even get one big private or multilateral investor like the WB to fully commit. In the meantime our own government in partnership with local businesses should have started something on a smaller scale in the caymans area and for sure others will follow. We are averse to risks and that's what it will take; a change in business mindset. We shouldn't wait around for the WB otherwise 50 years and we're still in the talking and planning stage. They have no real interest in helping and just tie us up in bureaucracy and hope land. Get out there to Eurasia where they have the expertise, money and business mindset and sell the project to the willing.

@lizcampbell8668. You may not hear person talk about it, but before investment comes to Jamaica to build the Logistic Hub. You have to realize that all the warehousing of goods and services cannot be located along the Kingston Wharf Area alone; these facilities will be in manny area of the country along the coast, so the Road Network have to be there first, and that is happening now. We're also going to need a lot of skilled person in many areas which we don't even have now. I hope the training is going on, and we need a majior attitude adjustment in how we speak. This Patios nonsense won't work, English is Global Language for business, if you care to look English is the #1 Language in the World. We should be gravitating to whats works not how you feel. How you feel can't make us rich! Global Logistic, is not a play thing, it's high standard, and good communication...

Can you now build a beach Park in Hellshire? It would give Portmorians and Kingstonians more safe and reliable access to the beach. With so much of Jamaicas shoreline currently (literally) employed in the manufacture of enjoyment for tourists the local people (especially in the hot and miserable industrial centers) now need to be afforded access too. Also can the government provide more job development service? It’s one thing to obtain the skills. It’s another to find a job to pay you for use the skills you obtain. People need help finding jobs in their communities. Enough of the training center. Make bigger programmes to help people create resumes and apply for and keep jobs. This kind of training is needed!
