Instructions are to wash before use. Not surprising there was a metal taste. If the bottle had been insulated it would have had a very small capacity. The thickness of the bottle inside would have been considerably reduced with the thickness of the vacuum space. Alternatively a bottle with 250ml capacity would have been perhaps 15mm thicker. It would have been longer with other measurements also. If you wanted a bottle to kep liquid hot/cold it would have been preferable to buy one that was insulated. I have been very happy with mine. If you were concerned with seeing the water level it would have been preferable to have the plastic version.

Great review! Dyneema is a very interesting choice in a backpack like this. I love the way it looks when it's new but a lot of people have mentioned Dyneema tends to break down almost like a 'wet paper bag' over time. Hoping someday they do a standard production run of the GR1 in Challenger Ultra.

You needed to completely stuff the backpack and put it on yourself so we could see what it looked like at work.

I have a different style 3Q which I have had for six years and was made in Canada. A fantastic jacket, hits all the right notes for style, fit, warmth, quality. Every year when it's mild I say I'm going to sell it because I don't get enough wear out of it, but when the really cold winter snaps arrive in the UK, I have nothing else that beats the comfort and warmth of my 3Q. Plus I would never be able to replace it with a better jacket for the used price it would sell for.

So if they won't do anything buy another headrest from them and put the broke one back in the box and return it within a week. Ive done this returning items for years if they don't want to return or warranty a item but a brand new one put the broke on in the box and say you want to return never fails they can't say shit.

Belstaff are a step above Barbour so probably not a fair comparison. The. Leather jackets from Belstaff are a real league above, downside of Barbour is they develop a dog-blanket smell over time especially if they get wet and no amount of airing gets ride of it, plus the silk oil that Barbour use, it is really greasy and does not absorb well in to the jacket so you always have this residue.
