Thank you!!!
Thank you! I could not get that basket out!
I just got a barista pro and it's wild that they spent so much money on very high quality tools but neglected one that comes with a cheap Mr coffee unit
awesome trick. Lovely!
Worked first time! Thanks
Legend
I wish I had known that before scraping my thumb raw.
Thank you! 😮💨 I not only tried to sacrifice a butter knife, I lost some skin on my fingers in the process.
Amazing. Thank you!
it starts at 0:39
Thank you for your kind review Thanks to you, my wife can easily eliminate basket. from South korea
Just bought this and RUclipsd it and found this helpful vid !! Saved my fingernails ! Thank you ! !!!😊
WOW!! Thank you so much for this tip
Thank god you made this video --I was sacrificing a butter knife, but also sure I was missing some instruction on locking!
Thank you sir
My fingernails thank you
youtube is amazing. I could find a video for something as trivial and simple (but as difficult) as this. Thanks!
Perfect! Didn't damage my single shot basket too. Thank you sir
Wish I’d seen this before cracking a nail!
Did not work
The scraper tool that’s included also works but it chipped a little so I stopped doing that. Dedicated butter knife all day
Ahhhh something so simple but so complicated. Thank you I am just setting up the my brand new Barista Express and it comes with the filter stuck in it. I went the knife route uncessfully. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Its the small things in this world, that makes the difference... like this Video!! Thank you alot 😄
Genius! Thank you
Thank you so much for this. I was looking for a tool and read the manual. I didn't want to ruin my nails or possibly ruin the basket using my butter knife.
Outfuckingstanding soldier
Well this worked better than I thought
Minus two thumb nails!!! Tx a bunch!
Very useful. Thank you!
Works like a charm, thank you! Love "nobody's getting out of bed for a single shot of espresso." Truth!
I cannot believe that I spent 20 minutes fumbling with fingernails and butter knives to get the filter out when it was this easy. Literally 2 seconds total.
Thank you for the easy and clear solution/hack.
Thank you!!!!
Owe you a thousand likes ❤
Just tried it the way you show and it's just so easy. Thanx😅
SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS VIDEO I’ve felt so silly for not being able to change my basket!
I'm a general contractor, self taught engineer, and artist. I couldn't figure it out. Why t doesn't Breville include a puller for these? All it would need to be is a piece of ABS that snapped over the portafilter.
This is a brilliant idea! Right away it solved my problem!
Thank you
I don't know how this worked for anyone else but it didn't for me. I couldn't even get the one wedged into the other. If anyone has any other ideas let me know. (I also tried a regular dinner knife and that didn't work either). And yes, shame of Breville for not including a tool for this.
Have been using this method but i feel that prolonged usage of this method may result in the circumference of the filter basket widening overtime 🤔
Thanks! It works really well! 😄
Wow, thank you! I have flimsy nails so I was wondering how the heck I was going to be able to clean my machine’s parts after use… this was awesome 😊
Can we use the naked basket?
Omg thank you!!
I literally just belly laughed after trying your trick. Yes, several finger nails were sacrificed before I bothered googling it.
Bruh… game changer.
Thanks
LIFE SAVER!!! Thanks so much!

Life, butter knife, and nail saver. Thank you!
