I myself have a sbe 4.8 in my fox.. Been wanting to go bigger but having trouble finding info from 4.8 guys. My setup is a t4 Huron speed kit with 3”intercooler Stage 1 btr twin turbo cam and valve springs and retainers. 73mm Garrett g42 The car revs to about 5400 and makes 650ish and then the curve goes flat at 650 to the limiter. Wanting to go s480 or s485 but still want to spool it

Wouldn’t have skipped those cam bearings. Would really suck to spend all the time, work and money to shorten the life of that motor or even worse 0 oil pressure on start up.

I tried those cheap China headstuds once and they are sketchy. My passenger head gasket would spray a little water over 8 lbs boost. Pulled it apart, the head and deck surface were fine. Those studs are in a box under the workbench, you can have them lol 😂 Way to thrash and get her together

It’ll be the same process over and over with the ls setup just build a SBF dart block and be done with it unless your ok with the vortec truck motors your pulling from the junkyard

You wouldn’t believe the abuse my buddy and a I put through a set of Gen.4 rods and pistons. They handled 30+psi in three different race cars for 4+ years. I’ll probably never buy a set of aftermarket rods and pistons unless I have a aftermarket block
