You and I definitely saw the same movie. It was really pretty damn good throughout but the tonal inconsistency and the lackluster ending definitely left me mixed. 3/5 sounds about right

Great review! We all feel the same about the promo, it’s criminal as it’s such a brilliant show. I’m a Lee Minho fan and us fans have paid for advertising on electronic screens in cities all the world to promote the series! AppleTv needs to get its act together re promo or start paying us fans!

Lemme guess, the woman is depicted as incredibly tough, highly intelligent, and an absolute badass, while the man is portrayed as somewhat clueless, dependent on the woman, n generally incompetent. When will the film industry realize dat audiences r tired of these clichéd, overly feminist narratives?

Dafuq was that ending!!! It's a Theo Walcott type of movie. Gave us moments of brilliance, but ultimately left us fuming!

I'm pretty much in the same camp as you! It's a mixed bag because I wanted to know way more about the players at hand, but there is so much wasted time in the middle of the film that could've been spent getting us attached to these characters to make the conclusion that much more impactful. I think Zoe Kravitz has a future as a director, but this one didn't really land for me. Great review, dude!

So many flaws, so many. Too many. Just a minor one: the lorica segmentata was not made of leather but of carbonized iron.

Thanks for the review. I enjoyed it. Definitely flawed of course - First 40 minutes was way too slow and repetitive. However, It gets way better when different things start to happen, and I actually think the ending is fantastic.

I actually quite like this show. However, I would prefer the show if it introduces more seasons, steering more into the Game Of Thrones element, fleshing out each characters stories and making the series feel more complete

Although not the best, I really enjoyed it. Far better than any garbage from D+

Thought it was average at best. I persevered through because I’m a huge fan of Rome and ancient history. So much wrong with the series in general tho from the historical inaccuracy like the city of Rome being effected by mount Vesuvius (it’s about 150 miles away….) to Kwame receiving a wooden sword after his third fight? I know it’s series based for the entertainment of the audience but also it’s kinda ridiculous. not to mention the poor and cheesy acting, I felt like I was watching a high school drama play. Mind you this could be due to poor directing. Lastly let’s not forget the absolutely horrendous CGI. The one thing I will praise it for is the action and choreography but other then that i thought it was bang Average but okay to kill a bit of time really expected more tho.

I hate the way they depicted Numidia. The north African kingdom wasn't in the desert and Numidians were certainly not black. Very inaccurate depiction.

The last season sucks

In the timeline resulting from s3's reset they were alive just fine without marygold. But somehow, extracting it again at the end of season 4 makes them disappear from history. Gg writers. Go play fetch on a highway.

I wish they could have extracted the gold stuff from their bodies and be able to restart the timeline like that, maybe they would have lived as normal people then...But even at the end it felt off, no good send off for Ben at all. And how Jennifer became squid bait was weird, no explanation on her actual family. No resolution for the affair. I would have been happy if they just died, but existed hereafter..I was surprised that no one else besides Klaus needed to talk to Allison about how they got to the current timeline and what she did.

Inaccurate never shows Christians being persecuted by the Romans.

I didn’t mind the start of the season, but it fell off at the end. I think a bit of Lila’s arc was based in misogyny which pissed me off. She went from being this independent, no bullshit fighter to only caring about her kids and not much else and while I think her kids should’ve been her main motivation, she needed more than that. I also think that should’ve applied to Diego more than it did. It’s a common theme in TV and it feels to me like the show sees women as mothers who only care about their kids and nothing else

TUA pulled a heroes and lowered the quality season by season till we were grateful it ended. lost plots, characters that went no where (looking at you missing children with marigolds), assassination of character development-, how children that cant have existed without the academy can now exist without them- its heartbreaking and breaking things level of frustrating.

i think the ending needed to end the way it did (its been abundantly clear over the course of the show that they, ultimately, are the problem), but I thought the way they got there was so weird. the way the characters interacted was just so strange and maybe it was just coming straight off a rewatch of the full series but it felt sort of like they lost all the character growth and relationship development from the previous three seasons in the time jump. and with that! the handwave-yness of all the missing characters was WILD to me. randomly dropping ray having left allison (which, deserved tbh) and never really addressing that no WONDER ben doesnt seem particularly loyal to any of the umbrellas, THEY KEEP TREATING SPARROW!BEN LIKE AN UMBRELLA!! the subway stuff was the correct amount of intriguing to me, but at the same time I kind of hated the deli scene bc I hate that trope of the timeline/universe hopper encountering a universe full of just them in multiverse stories because it feels like its always just a way to get a cheap laugh. and that final scene in the final fixed timeline was a nice way to nod to the rest of the extended cast, but for continuinity's sake doesnt really make any sense. conceptually, I really liked the season, but it felt underdeveloped and almost like a first draft to me.

I actually really enjoyed season 3 and was hoping for a lot which I think is my own fault for wanting a good finale . I found a lot of the sub stories have very quick finishes and don’t contribute to the last actions they take.i think it should’ve had more build for their sacrifices

Wasn't crazy about season 1. Then watched season 2 and enjoyed it so I went back and watched 1 again. Then three came out. I really wasn't impressed. I felt that the sparrow academy was just cannon fodder. It had some good scenes but I felt like it betrayed a few characters. Luther who was so in love with Allyson in season one and two now meets a new girl and marries her ib about a weeks time. Was he really that in love with being "in Love' and the character of Allison. She went over to the dark side. Now the fourth season was awful, disappointing and a waste of my time and effort. They had all the characters separated too much in my opinion. With only 6 episodes they should have had more whole family scenes. Then we have a 6 year time jump so we get no answers about anything. Diego and Lila now have three kids-we see one who is 7 but they only mention the twins in passing and we never see them. Ben is in prison....where did the boy from the train go? I always believed that Five respected Lila but having them have an affair? I know it was six years but are we saying a male and female cannot be together for years and just be friends. This also makes me have less respect for 5-sleeping with his brothers wife. So much for family above all else. Same for Lila. It gave me the willies. Then everyone dying at the end. Isn't there more marigold kids? Did the monster just die when the ben/jen monster ate everyone? What happens to Reginald and his wife. They just get eaten too. So bad and I have had it on my calendar for over a week. I wish I hadn't watched it or it had ended after the third season.

Hello @EverythingLowery this really wasn’t a great but the ending fits well considering it was their own shit with all the constant fighting and disagreements that caused the world to end. But it was nice to see the other characters from past seasons make cameos like the Handler, Swedes, Hazel and Agnes, Grace, along with Herb and Dot, alive and having normal lives.

them dying was to be expected considering they do it basically every season but the shame lies in how many unanswered questions there were and how the episodes plots seemed like fillers. Just felt like they wasted sm time on the wrong things
