Does this happen when you are just sitting still? If not, try that it’s possible that there’s too much movement. If you are just sitting, try completely drying all parts especially the green seal. And making sure it’s properly places against the breast shield. Let me know how that goes.

Hello @veronicamoretti would you clarify the second test ? Is this when you place three seal in the hub test? If you are not getting good suction from the hub, you would have to contact Elvie in hopes for a new hub.

Is the high pitch sound when everything is connected? Does the hub sound different before set up and after?

@@AkkoandTamo yes it still makes the high pitch sound when I detach it from me with the hub still pumping

@@AkkoandTamo it doesn’t immediately start making that sound, and it’s not all the time but when it does, it starts anytime during my pumping sessions.

Hmm it’s strange that it’s not consistent. I would try Elvie’s customer service and see if they can help further.

Hi @gracelindsey3406 if you’re not getting any suction when you lay the green piece, it may be a set up issue or a hub issue. Is this a problem from the beginning? Do you feel the air sucking in from the actual hub when you disassemble everything? If so, it’s a set up issue. If not, then I would contact Elvis support. In the event you feel the air being sucked in from the hub, there are multiple issues we have to look at. #1. @Rebecca thank you for your comment. You’re absolutely right, some of the sound will be blocked by breasts/clothing. This video was only to compare the sounds between the Elvis and spectra to get a sense of how quiet the Elvie is since many people may have the spectra at home already. 🤙

Hi @Gazi, no worries. Per Elvie, “”The Bottle Release is the part you use to release the Bottle from the Hub. If it is cracked or broken, it's very easily to replace. Please contact us and as long as your pump is within the two year warranty we can send you a replacement part along with instructions on how to replace it.” Hope this helps.

Hi @elizabeth. Yup I pumped the full 40 min but in between I would empty the milk into a storage bag or bottle. The majority of my pump sessions were on expression mode; For my body, more milk came out being in expression mode. In addition, I drank lots of water; I think that helped the most.

Did you figure out how it had torn? This is my second valve that’s tearing and it’s supposed to last 6 months at least, right?

Hi! When I would travel I used the Elvie but when I was back home, I would use both the Spectra and Elvie. I used the spectra because I didn’t have to pump for as long as the Elvie (~35-40min) to get the same amount. Everyone is different so I would advise you switch slowly. And if it doesn’t work out, use the Elvie during your outings or when you need to be hands free. Hope this helps.

Great question, I would say the usually wear and tear products such as the replacement of the valve, possibly the breast shield depending on how you wash; it doesn’t tolerated the dish washer very well. Those are the two items I probably had to replace during my pumping journey. I can also see that some may need to replace the seal.

Hi Kirsty, great question. You just need to make sure the value isn’t stuck together. As long as you can squeeze it and it splits, it’s good to go. Now, if there’s too much spacing present (without squeezing the valve) then you may need to replace with another to have optimal suction.

Hi@ Azada I’m sorry you’re having Trouble with suction. It can be frustrating. I’m thinking the problem is in the valve or seal. Have you checked to see if the seal is nice and flat (see 1:00) if that’s not the problem have you check to see if the entire upper part of the valve is showering (see 4:40) ? Please let me know if this helps?

@Azada. Hmmm. Weird that you’re getting no suction. Was it ever working properly ?

My wife and I had this same problem, I was able to get it to work by ensuring the seal for the soft plastic portion didn't move when inserting the hard plastic portion. That's the only thing that I can think of that would have caused this issue. Hopefully this helps!
