Hi, I just thought I'd recommend watching Pirates and Rat SMPs both are really good and strike a good balance between scripted and nonscripted content. Just thought I'd recommend them because of the series you mentioned.

simple, short, but well said! i feel like it's so easy for ppl to hate on mcyt and its fanbase because mainly of the dream smp and the ccs/fans related to it, but minecraft, mcyt, and its fan content are so much more than that there are so many great smp stories like you've mentioned out there with the members not only having a good story and editing, but just friends being friends and having a good time. it's rlly entertaining! and even if someone rlly isnt into smp-style content, there are countless of mcyt ccs that just play minecraft for fun. and it's also so entertaining to watch, whether it's with the commentary, the skill of the cc, or just whtvr content theyre providing for us to watch and besides the ccs, THE FANS. omg, where do i even begin. there's just so much creativity and commitment dedicated to whtvr a fan creates, it's so beautiful and wholesome. whether it's art, animation, and even fanfiction (which, on a side note, has a bad rep with ppl outside of the fanfic community. but for anyone reading, pls be aware fanfiction is just like any other fanwork! fanfic is basically fanart but for writers, it's not all romantic-shipping. there are plenty of mcyt fanfic that's platonic and deals with friendship and found family, just like passerine (the one mentioned in the video). but im ranting about this way too much LMAOO as a fanfic writer, i feel extremely obligated to defend my community <3), every fanwork is seriously so amazing mcyt, just like minecraft itself, is just so vast and creative and anything is possible with it it just sucks that it has a reputation of the loud minority that ppl online think of it to be (yall know what im talking about; toxic fans and absolutely horrible ccs) when in reality, most everyone here is chill and just fr awesome and looking for a good time

I personally had been in the community for years, Popularmmos, DanTDM, FavreMySabre, Unspeakable, MooseCraft, Sharkboy etc. gosh the nostalgia goes ONNN But Lizzie’s episodes of Last Life as they were uploaded showed me those kinds of mechanics, the game was so different from anything I’d watched and it was honestly fun to watch (I’ve not shifted to Martyn’s POV along with Grian and Scott) and there are SIX of them now! I didn’t even find out about the LORE till later! I still feel excited each Saturday to see a new Wild Life episode release and I have no shame admitting that! AND MY GOODNESS THE ART, ANIMATICS, FANFICTION, IT GOES DEEP THERE IS SYMBOLISM IN MANY THINGS YOU FIND AND I JUST- I love the community so much! I’d write more about everything else but, I’ve got school 😔

In a climate where it’s easy to crap on dsmp by its own community now I’m glad people are still talking positively about it, because it wasn’t bad, it was flawed because it was new and it was human and it *happened*. I think that’s the best part of it, because it came out of the wood works purely because it was fun to do, coming from a server originally meant to be a chill survival experience and turning into something huge and purely made by the people participating, and that’s friking awesome to me

I GOT SO EXCITED AT THE THIRD LIFE DESERT SCENE AS THE FIRST SCENE OF THIS VIDEO 🥺🥺🥺 life series fans unite, this was truly what got me into minecraft and the world of animation. like it helped me get my life together, i went through character arcs as i discovered what i was really interested in, it introduced me to so many more things i wanted to learn and do, it's got a really talented fanbase, there's so many awesome people, and then there's hermitcraft which i love and helps me pass the time in my life <3

This game is the original "just one more turn" until you are up all night :) I still play it regularly. Quick Tips: For higher population you need to place your cities close together, even if they overlap production squares. This keeps the city small enough that colosseum/temple will prevent revolt, and you can increase scientific output through taxes. Max science until you are well ahead in tech, you can't lose. Settlers are critical, I generally have each city produce one settler almost immediately after founding, and use it to road/irrigate/mine every adjacent square, when everything is done, use the settler to found a new city or add pop to an existing one.

You should also check out some other projects grian was on yandere highschool minecraft roleplay was one of the funniest most absurd shows on RUclips. He never made any videos on it for his channel but he was there as a guest a few times. It's an amazing story about friendship, betrayal, cannibalism and more Hermitcraft and evo smp contain some of the most impressive feats not just in building but in improvised storytelling as well with elections, wars, lawsuits and now bureaucracy.

I 100% see potential in your channel. Having supported some creators from 5-10k subs to the millions that they now have (Jhita, Animagician, Looney, The MREpic) over the years. I can see the parrels between you and them in various ways (style, editing, commentary). I even noticed the similarity between the 3D avatar camera angle between you and Technoblade, as well as the style of commentary, which I thing is brilliant. You should definitely keep all aforementioned things since they are effective for content creation. However, I think that if you expand into more mass market Minecraft subjects (2b2t, Dream SMP Retrospective, history of famous and non-famous Minecraft creators, etc.) you will attract a lot more views, since your style of content will stand out against other creators.
