It is as Rom 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is in Christ Jesus our Lord." and Eph 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." However, we can be saved from hell by trusting in Christ like we would with a parachute. Why else would you put on a parachute, if you were in the air? Your motivation would be a healthy fear. So, to put on Christ you must repent, and trust in Him alone. Not your good works, but in Him alone. We do not know when we will die, whether in several years, or today will be the day. Please remember this and take this into consideration.
