I am 60 year Old now and recently retired, I will be attempting to document my travels around the world. First up was a 4 week trip to Southern California to my best friends in November 2024. We have been best pals since junior school, both born our home town of Batley West Yorkshire. This you can watch in the video's i've uploaded for you to enjoy.
Then I'm off to Nepal to take on the challenge of Everest Base camp in April 2025.

Death Valley CA whistle stop tour in a day.
We spent the day in Death Valley and covered a lot of miles today. Done beautiful places of absolute amazing natural formations. Mark and I had a great time together exploring this outstanding place.
Death Valley is a desert valley in Eastern California, in the northern Mojave Desert, bordering the Great Basin Desert. It is thought to be the hottest place on Earth during summer. Death Valley's Badwater Basin is the point of lowest elevation in North America, at 282 feet below sea level.

We took an hours drive to just outside Palm Springs and the spectacular view of this peak awaited our eyes. We left Jurupa Valley CA Saturday morning and travelled to Las Vegas NV and then on to the Valley of Fire just outside Las Vegas. Travelled on to St George crossing in to Utah state. Checked in to the Comfort Inn St George Utah. Valley of fire Nevada parks.nv.gov/parks/valley-of-fire

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of my giving up alcohol. Routine MOT with my GP made me see I was perhaps taking too much Alcohol onboard, I never thought about this. A life changing decision? Si and me hiked to the B29 crash site on the moors just outside Glossop. Ideal hiking day in the winter, albeit a big boggy in places but nice and cold. Just under 9 miles, was a great little hike and had some lunch and a couple of 0.0 Guinness in the Wheatsheaf pub. Lovely little pub full of walkers but no heating on so felt like still out on moors. Got here 29th December and made a few videos of the walks and weather up to New Years Day with Heidi, Chris and Barnaby who were also staying for New Year. Great night out at Pizza West in Whitby which I can recommend. Finally New Year’s Day building the dam. All the best for 2024 guys.
