How Much Does an EV Road Trip Really Cost?
In my recent video, I documented an exciting 4-day EV road trip from Calgary to Ottawa. Along the way, I relied on a mix of fast chargers and level 2 chargers to keep my vehicle powered up, and I also provided detailed cost breakdowns for every charger I used. With careful route planning and insights into the charging process, this video is perfect for anyone looking to embark on their own EV adventure and manage their travel expenses effectively!"

Typically, a battery’s warranty does not work the way you think. For example, if it fails after 3 years, odds are you will only get back 40% of the original purchase price of your battery, i.e. 2 years left out of 5 years in total. Please reread your battery warranty.

New pricing way more expensive in my opinion here in BC. January 6 charged on a 350 kWh station took 34 minutes and 32 seconds at $0.57 per minute cost me $20.74 ($0.99 gst included) Total energy delivery 48.9010 kWh. January 14 at exact same charger new price set at $0.70/kWh. Total energy delivery 53.2454 kWh. Billed Energy 53.0000 kWh. Cost me $38.94 ($1.85 gst included). I don't want my tax dollars to pay for new chargers and infrastructure for you. Do you think Esso/Shell/Petro charge tax payers to build a station? You get max 100 amps at 420 volts = 42kw, which is what Tesla limits you to. It’s the same in Europe where I live. I cannot tell you why this happens but it’s really annoying. Hyundai / Kia say it’s Teslas problem to correct in their software.

Thank you for the break down. I don't think a lot a people know this. We all got exicted when Tesla open their Supercharger to everyone.

Wish they would send the OTA to my Ioniq 6

I heard Hyundai OTA does not happen straight away. It can take up to two months to automaticlly update to your car. If you don't want to wait. You can do the old fashion way.

Hey Stevie. Can you tell me the size of the winters you put on? Looks like it might be a smaller wheel size than the standard 19" wheels. Thanks
