Yes, Yes, Yes! One thing I tell people is people will ALWAYS remember how you make them FEEL! You could do a positive action off and on but if you wound or emotionally hurt them, that will be what they remember. So when you treat people with kindness, consideration, check on them, it stirs up great feelings about you because that feeling helps them thrive. Now that I’m in my 50’s I MUST protect my peace and I cushion myself with positive people and experiences and try to cherish every encounter because you never know what the other person is going through. Bless you🙌🏽

Amen. I’m with you Sis. Many of them suffer from the generational ineptness. For years, our black mothers raised their daughters. They didn’t raise their sons. Their sons were left to figure it out on their own and when we don’t teach them to tap into that emotional side, the communicative side they struggle, but it’s never too late for Therapy and group communication sessions. I put one of these together four months ago with 10 couples and I still followed them today only 4 couples fell off but the ones who stayed in it are doing amazing.

When I look back on my life, tears well up in my eyes, God has brought me through so much and I look at all he has given, but the storms that I went through to get here and how he carried me through. I’m just so grateful I’m so thankful to be going into another season And I’m looking forward to the journey. God bless you, sis.

I’ve been on my deathbed three times when the doctor told me I wouldn’t be here the next day, but I’m still here. God is so amazing. how dare I complain? The adversity and trials that it takes to go through the civil rights movement and doing with grace and dignity and stuff that pain until you break and end up an addict is horrendous, but to be able to come out on the other side and fight for your child, even as an adult and carry on their legacy until your own death gives you the title of a “Queen” to me. Our adoration for others is in the eye of the beholder that’s providing that judgment, but why judge anyone. I look at every glass as half full, never empty and I try to see the beauty in everything and everyone.
