I did'nt know you went to Ft. Worth ! That town used to be a haven for trashy films , flea markets , Mexican food , Texas Bar B Cue , dive bars , quickie motels , restored 19th century historical buildings, and one of the first important comic book and movie memorabilia stores in the USA. THEY EVEN BRIEFLY HAD A PUNK CLUB IN THE EARLY 80'S , ZERO'S . NOW , it's more like DALLAS !!!

I never had the pleasure of visiting CBGB's but the Ronny's bathrooms were pretty grotesque - literal cockroaches crawling up the walls. I believe the place is still open as a bar but The Man isn't letting them put on shows anymore. I'm not particularly upset about this development.

That's so funny , on the sidebar , it says "College of Dupa " , you know , College of Butt. Well , it DOES. In an alternate universe , unlike the alternate universe celebrated in "The Million Dollar Quartet" , The Dyes could be the band that really makes Sam Phillips NUTS (Which he was , except ,of course , in dramatic interpretations like "The Million Dollar Quartet".).

They say Ronnies' is'nt (Was'nt?) as nasty as CBGB's . I beg to differ. At least , at CB's , the stage was'nt directly facing the bogs.... I had a good time playing to 5 people at Ronnie's , once , though.... How cool are The Dyes , anyway? Hello? This thing on ?

Just heard/saw these guys for the first time last night at IQ's in Green Bay...they caught my attention with a Stooges cover, some Screamin' Jay, and Flatt & Scruggs, and their original stuff was just as good. New fan achieved, guys!
