The "Witch is Dead", then going into "Thriller", was very creative! The dancing was remarkable. There are many Thriller videos on RUclips, but I don't see anyone doing something as unique as a combined routine, where real Lindy Hop dancing is actually included. Your video work was wonderful. Mr. James Thompson. ❤
Thank you. This shoot was a last minute change with a friend using my iPhone, see the credits at the end of the video. The crowd was too close to the performance. I did the editing to this and shot the couple on the right end, the other video with Chris and Johann. This choreography was taught by Glenn and Janice with GottaSwing, see the other user comment Glenng911, I can’t tag him here.
The "Witch is Dead", then going into "Thriller", was very creative in your other videos. I took great pleasure in watching the other dance videos from Glen Echo. The dancing was remarkable. There are many Thriller videos on RUclips, but I don't see anyone doing something as unique as a combined routine, where real Lindy Hop dancing is actually included. Too bad both weren't done here. The lighting was better in this video. Your video work was wonderful. Mr. James Thompson. ❤
Thank you. Not sure why the Witch is Dead wasn’t performed here, I was expecting it to be. And yes better lighting at this venue!
Looks so fun! Amazing performance. 😍
Great job all!
Great job!
Bravo ❤
Wonderful performance. Loved it! ❤
Great job by all!
Thanx James!
This is cool! Go Sarah! 🙂
The Thriller Routine was taught by Valerie Pyle & Joe Manning at Gottaswing in Warrenton, VA. Janice & Glenn Gardner, Gottaswing in Woodbridge, also taught their students the routine. We, and our students, joined forces with the Warrenton team to perform the Thriller! Hahahaha!!!
Awesome! My hat and mask shifted so I was doing it blind in the beginning, so I had to try to figure out how to shift it, or when to take them off. I figured out that the first "stomps" would work. My face became the mask. That was more scarry! 🤡
Very smooth and fabulous performance. 😍
Marvelous and heart stopping dance presentation. They must be in superb shape.
Brilliant performance.
Awesome job by all! 😊
Outstanding performance!
Congratulations! This is very entertaining!
Я бы с ними с удовольствием бы потанцевала. Особенно мне нравятся придурошные костюмы. Молодцы.
Hey guy! Practice, practice, practice!
Brilliant! Great song by The Andrew Sisters
It’s hard to dance with boots on.
It is? I ran a 6 minute mile in combat boots and fatigues when I was on active duty. Back then we didn't wear tennis shoes/sneakers for Physical Training(PT) unless you had a profile(medical excuse).
Amazing dancers.
Very creative dance to a cool song!
It was choreographed by Jonathon Roberts!
Wow
👏👏👏👏👏
Awesome love this one xxx
I wish I had learned to dance 😢
James, thank you for coming out and shooting/editing our time there. Beautiful new museum.
Awesome dancing! 🥰
Great job!
Sue & Gary (Northern VA Gottaswing Instructors at the Colvin Run Dance Hall) created the original short version of the Bandstand Boogie routine to the song by Barry Manilow in 2009 for the Washington DC Parades and other venues (Performances for the DC Parades are required to be kept to 2 minutes). Warrenton & Woodbridge Swing Gottaswing Instructors adapted the routine to a long version (around a minute longer) of the music by the Silver Tones Swing Band. The band was hot last night at the Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom. That trombone solo was awesome! They are the best big band in our area. Performers: Valerie K Pyle & Joe Manning from Warrenton, VA, Janice & Glenn Echo Gardner, from Woodbridge, VA. Thank you to James E. Thompson for providing the great video of the performance! 😊
Beh lei sa ballare, lui ...sta imparando !
Translated your comment: "Well she can dance, he ... he's learning!" . That was 10 years ago, yes she is an amazing instructor, and I was her student giving a performance. A great way to learn. I posted for the memory and see how far I've come from when I first began learning to dance.
@@jethompson Allora avevo indovinato !Sia chiaro che non volevo offendere nessuno. Un saluto cordiale a te JAMES e alla bravissima maestra di ballo .ciao
@@nellololli8798 no worries, sometimes translations can come across as "blunt" and you must have a good eye for dancing if you could tell I was a beginner. I can dance much better now, but working on being able to perform is another level 😀
@@jethompson Caro JAMES sono un vecchio (78 primavere) rockettaro e ho notato la tua esibizione, spero di vedere altri video così da poter farti i complimenti x i tuoi progressi .!ciaooo
@@nellololli8798 Grazie molto! Hope to have more to post soon.
My god. What dedication. I can’t hold a thought more than 20 minutes
Looks Great! Congratulations on sticking with it!
Thanks, this is the slide show from the guy I bought the vehicle from, he did all the work. I've only replaced a few bits, like the radiator and gear shift, etc..
Great video! This was near the end of the night with only the hard core dancers left (3 hours of dancing)... 😀
If anyone wants to know how to build a short range AM transmitter, just ask. Legally you can build one for yourself and use it as long as you don't interfere with anyone. I found a design online and had to troubleshoot it, modify it to make it work properly.
I love this song. You found a treasure. Thank you.
