Nice one mate. What a handy tool
don't push to tighten. pull to tighten, pull to loosen. that way you get to feel what 60 lb ft, feels like
I hope you positioned the rings in the right place on the piston before putting in bore. Plus fit the top big end bearing into conrod before fitting in bore. Plus lots of lube assembly grease on bearing faces.
@@lindsaybuchecker5373 I did those things, however my camera wasn't recording for a number of parts, very frustrating. Had lots of audio issues as well.
I are a Machinist, so I'm going to comment on your "valve job"... matey, that is perfectly fine for roughing out a seat, using the old valve is the smart move, and for anybody watching thinking of doing the same - DON'T overdo it, bit at a time until there is a faint shadow about 20% of the circumference, then stop and lap in a new valve. This is a good quality job for a Bushie.
@@pretendorossi cheers mate, you do what you can in the bush. Just enough work to take the crust off and no more.
If you ever swap out that lucas generator for an alternator theres a tacho conversion kit available
@@HDXFH yep if the generator dies, I'll be upgrading to an alternator.
Ford, good tractors, they are prone to glazing if not laboured hard once in a while, that one looks to be an early 3000 late 60s model
@@HDXFH yep looked up the serial numbers, 29th Nov 1967
Beautiful !
@@martinbarnes6853 cheers, it turned out alright👍
Nice work!
@@kennethjungman4784 it runs better than before👍
Front left is usually worst to get off as most clippings collect there. If you get the others off, add some anti seize to the shafts so you get them off of in the future too.
@@NilsKall it certainly was hard to remove, took over 1 hour. Anti seize everything👍😃
Name and pronunciation was right!
That paint looks 100% like the right one!
Starting to look expensive. Parts are easily available for these but you may as well do big end bearings and rings etc.
Yep agreed, plus another piston👍😃
Sorry to tell you after your nice paint job but you are missing baffles under your cutting deck. It will still work OK but I believe it gets a bit more noisy as the whole deck shell acts as a resonance chamber. That Pro 15 has better seat suspension and heavy duty transmission! Remember to change oil in the transmission! (rear axle ). Good video, I have the same sound issues when I use an external mic with noise reduction software. It removes/distorts engine sound too!
Thankyou so much for the information, had no idea that was even missing. Noticed the belt cover was missing, and possibly a flap from the rear discharge. The seat is very comfortable and in good condition apart from a small tear. The transmission is a k62 with a tank reservior.
@@oilyragsgarage7200My first rider was missing the baffles (or rather, they were just some bent up mess under the deck) and it worked all right so don’t worry about it. I need to add some baffles to my current deck as it is weak from rusting and a bit wider 120cm so I think it makes the noise worse.
Now that is a nice mower!
Hey! Looking forward to some HQ rider content!
Ouch! Well, now the question is weather or not the head is salvageable, and can you get parts? If you are going to keep the tractor or weather to find another running one cheaper and scrap what you have.
Found a good cylinder used head, new video coming👍
Mate - that’s awful luck. Love the way you went about it calmly and got it sorted. I would have thrown stuff everywhere by now…. Looking forwards to seeing it run again soon.
Cheers mate, could have been worse, like the bottom end.
@@oilyragsgarage7200 exactly. I’m about to start wrestling with a Fiat with a suspected snapped crank…..
@@humpty7457 That doesn't sound good at all. Hopefully it isn't.
Nice tractor and she runs great 👍
Awesome now you can’t program a new key remote.
Will airbags work
I'd like to thank you for this video, it was invaluable in helping me change the belt. Unfortunately I didn't have access to a welder so I heated the bend on my brand new shiny 24mm ring spanner and flattened it out, then heated it just before the 'ring' to straighten that. Once done, as you suggested, I ground down the sides of it so it would slot neatly into the surrounding recess. It worked an absolute treat and didn't take too long to do.👍👍👍👍

Nice work oilyRags, you’re a natural mate!👍
Cheers mate, thanks for watching😀. From someone who hated getting their photo taken, to speaking/being on camera, its been long process.
Gold bud
What is the copper line to the left of the filter for
Not copper, just a brown wire for the oil pressure switch.
How is it working for you?
All still working great, no leaks.
The proper wrenchisalways better than the monkey wrench if destroyed replace
Sir just wondering is the security alarm disabled if the socket are removed cause my car battery kept on draining cause of the system alarm.thank you🤞
Can't hear voice in parts of video.
Well now that’s an awesome trick to remove the keepers. I enjoyed that. That shows an old dog CAN learn a new trick !! Thank you my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it😀 not the most user friendly solution, but it got the job done👍.
Genau das Video was ich suche, ich denke es geht bei dem Ford dexta 2000 genauso. Wie groß muß der Schraubenschlüssel sein? Und wo kann ich das Umbaukit kaufen?

Big thanks again. Lucky I saw your video here on Y-tube I bought such an adapter for my Ford 4000 8 months ago & thought I made a wrong purchase but still kept it so now when summer comes I will fit it for here in Northern Sweden it is still really cold..
Look at that old tractor go, makes it look like a breeze 😎
Going alright, plenty more Lantana/Tractoring content to come👍
Most people don’t even add oil now let alone change the oil even with water in it I get pissed at halfass farmers who drive a 100 thousand bucks pickup and don’t take care of equipment
Also if anything gets topped up, its probably with sump oil🤣
a bit easier than going in with pruners and a machete 😬
Certainly is, will still take quite a while though🚜
One thing for sure, there's always something to work on when using old equipment !! LOL The old Ford is sounding pretty good too. Thanks for the video today.
Nothing that a welder and a few bolts couldn't fix 😆👍 unfortunately had to rinse my clothes again.
Thank you very much, now I know how it should sit & mount
Your most welcome👍

Hi, how often do you change the oil in the box?
Almost never, only changed it because of water getting in
@@oilyragsgarage7200 Thanks, but this tractor model, where can you check the oil in the box? does it have a cap, screw?
@@oilyragsgarage7200 Thanks, but where does this model have a cap, screw where you can see the oil in the box? In mine I find a drop of oil underneath and I want to see.
@@iuliiuli4897 it has a level plug, remove it, then fill from the top until it runs out the level plug. The fill plug is a cap near the gear lever
@@oilyragsgarage7200 Thanks, when changing the oil in the box, is there any point in pouring water? maybe this way you clean the remaining chips more easily
I'm confused, the rags appeared unspoiled! As long as you work on tractors or ag equipment, I'll keep watching. Will it run videos on tractors are often just shorts, that stuff was made to last, unlike today's disposable junk! Nice work;)
Thanks for the comment, got away easy with this one so there wasn't really much to film except for doing some checks. You're right, they don't make them like they used to
I have a little problem. I have a Freelander 1 TD4 with BMW and I have a horrible sound in the area of the auxiliary belt and its tensioner. My surprise is that there is no place to work on the auxiliary belt and remove its tensioner. Could someone tell me if there is any trick or procedure that could help me so that I do not have to remove the engine. We've been thinking about how to do it for days. Thank you very much
Thanks mate that thing really was doing my head in🤣
Got to be a AD4.203 the A4.192 would not start that quick 😃
Do any of you guys know if there's any adjustment on the belt tension? Mines seems really tight, been damaging the bearings on the water pump, fitted 3rd pump in 22k kms
As far as I know, there isn't, my water pump had a slight amount of play as well.
Good day, thank you for the video, creative thinking with the spanner, well done
Mate!!! Love it! Never seen carpet on the shed floor before - but I’m getting me some!
Something a bit nicer to lay on underneath the tractor👍
What oil do you use??

My uncle has a disc like that with an off angled spread. He uses it for pulling up wide mounds of soil for planting watermelon fields.
Just subscribed. Those perkins diesels are good engines. and they dont consume a lot of fuel.
Great engines, smooth running. Thanks for the Subscription much appreciated.
Man o man, that's a nice one !! That 65 is an awesome tractor. Plenty of pony-power for you there. Were you firing it up for a friend or did you make the purchase...?? Looks like its had some roadway use on the rear tires. Nice diesel engine, that should be 176 cu in Perkins four banger, right..??
Certainly is very nice. Firing it up for a neighbour. 4cyl Perkins diesel 3.3Litres I believe. Starts very easily, smooth running. Rear tyres are worn, but no cracking.
Yeah it's the mk11 with the 203 12 gears, 60hp. Same as the one I just picked up. 🇦🇺 Mine fired up immediately after 20 years sitting outside. Bit rusty but a good thing.
