Nice video, brings back a lot of memories. When my daughters were a lot younger we used to bring our camper up to Grayson Highlands a couple of times a year and camped, usually July 4 week and Labor Day weekend. It's been 20 years since we've been there, girls are grown and out on their own. I don't know if he still does it, but Wayne Henderson used to bring his band up to the park on Labor Day weekend and during the 4th and played a free show. If you don't know who Wayne is, he was a mail carrier and lives in Rugby, VA down at the foot of Grayson Highlands. He is also a luthier (makes guitars, mandolins and such) and a fantastic musician, he's played at Carnagie Hall. Some of the most famous guitarists in the world have guitars he's made. I think what you are looking at from the viewing platform is to the southwest. Those higher ridges I believe are 3-Top to the left (west of Jefferson, NC) and the one more distant to the right is probably Roan Mtn. Mt. Rogers is the highest point in Virginia and those distant mountains are as high and even higher. Beech Mtn and Grandfather Mtn are in there somewhere, I think Grandfather is behind 3-Top in that view.

This was such a fun weekend!
