I like this a lot! After having heard so many sopranos struggle with the 'cabaletta' of this aria, finally a healthy, powerful voice that truly does it justice. She may not feel completely at ease with the English language, and her voice may sound a teensy bit mature for young innocent Ann; but what stamina, what precision, and what an easy and powerful high C without the usual extra breath. Brava!

Please more Recordings of Isabel Rey! It is great to see complete operas with her. Is there more of her in Mozart operas? Thanks so much

This asinine production make a mockery of Humperdinck's beautiful and moving story and score. I was fortunate enough to see a beautifully staged and sung production at Sarasota Opera a number of years ago. I'm also surprised that the MET has never revived it since it premiered there under the supervision of the composer.
