This is how I hope to get my 1981…. 👍🏻
Nice!👍🏻
How fast is it ! Ok 41 mph thats rolling for a jon boat so cool !!
I have been eagerly awaiting the shed pull video. ! Thanks for posting it
Which Bags you installing because i get two different people tell me to put the SS6 & some body else telling me to install the S7 I already noticed the frame I don't want to make a mistake buying the wrong Bags. Thanks if you can share the information.
Wow. That's a lot of video of just boating. If the point was speed then tell me what the speed was before and after. Maybe display the speed onscreen.
@@locker1325 the speed was slow, water was very rough, I'll look into getting the GPS speed overlay on the GoPro footage tho. Thanks
What the hell? Did the Buick pull a Christine and fall on him? No PART 2!
I have just a plain Jane k2500 and I'm having a problem separating the motor and transmission you said it has 7 bolts I know the hog head bolts they hold a lot of brackets and grounds it appears that there is a bolt on top by the oil sensor and there's no bolt in mine but I'll be damned if I can get that thing apart. Do you have any suggestions have you ever came across something like this???
@@josephdangelo1503 without seeing it it's hard to say, if the brackets that go from the trans to the motor mounts are loose and the 7 bell housing bolts are out then I not sure what it could be .
@@lean-tocustoms7910 wow I really appreciate you answering me so quickly. The only thing I could come up with after watching a few other videos mainly Eric on South main Auto and he was actually pulling a 5.3 but it was a k2500 the dowel pins were stuck on his motor that he was pulling aluminum trans and steel and of course a vortec being steel itself, those two metals don't interact very well. I'm surprised yours came apart so easily but then again you were pulling in apart I guess a second time. Anyhow brother thank you so much for sharing your video you and your family take care and God bless
The tach might just need to be adjusted,if the old motor was a Six or four cylinder, there is a small dial on the back of the tach that can be "clocked", to the right amount of cylinders 😊❤!?
@@DanielEDugger I tried all the settings on the back of the tack but the needle never moves so I assume it's burned out. I do have power and ground going to it also.
@@lean-tocustoms7910 it's just old like me!, I don't think my needle moves any more either!👍😕😁
You in the telecom industry by chance?
@@briangiller5253 nope
you could take a side cover off and take it to orieleys paint store and get it color matched in a spray can
@@buddylee6477 Yeah I thought of that, but I was ready for a change. Lol
wow i can see your motivation now .. that crazy $$. they will never get that . i doubt it. best of luck bro
just buy another tank
@@buddylee6477 after checking online and only finding one, that was $1000 I decided to fix this one. Thanks for the idea tho.
This is a bucket list car for me!
What happened to require all of the welding on the bottom?
@@BlueWeaselTX that was the transition from the boat hull to the jet ski hull, trying to make it flow nicely.
That thing moves. Nice job.
What kind of speeds are you getting out of the boat now? Especially when the water is this still.
I like it! Looks cool with the wheels. I'd have to slam it, but I'd drive it!
thanks, great video, i watched all the episodes i am doing a similar project of sorts homemade fiberglass hydrofoil but watching your videos showed me how to soften the noise and bring stability to my framework as will be running a 300 hp jet.
Sick build, looks so fun great work!
Literal shade tree! You rock guy!
That battery is huge. Where did it come from ?
@@BlancoLobo it's a Northstar battery, made for battery backup for cell phone towers
Looks good!
@@JohnnyAnderson1 Thanks, after I saw your video, I knew what I had to do. Lol
@lean-tocustoms7910 I'm sure there are a few differences from boat to boat but hopefully it helped! Mine is still running great, I've been wanting to make another video and do a top speed pull but it's not easy to film lol.
@@JohnnyAnderson1 I understand the difficulty in filming somethings, I have the same problem filming my smaller boats
Excellent work. "There's a motor hanging in the tree over there." I'm in👍, shade tree mechanicing.... Doing all that work without removing the rear seat, I 🫡 salute you. Also commend you for your bravery... no rags or tape over the intake, I surely would have lost something into it.
Green treated wood has copper in it and it will eat the aluminium it touches over time. Def not the wood to use unless you treat the wood surface with fiberglass resin.
@@shawngoodell772 thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye on it. I may switch it out in a couple seasons
Beautiful boat
I just watched your boat build video and noticed you have it painted lsu colors lol
@@topshopbuildandfabricate24 yeah, that wasn't on purpose. I was trying to match the Sea Doo I cut apart to make it.
Nice build
Nice, the inspiration I needed for relocating my coils on the L92 jet boat!
I have a question. I just had air bags installed on my 65 but my installer did not reinstall the front shocks. Is there some kind of bracket I can weld on the frame to reinstall the shocks? My ride is very bouncy and rough going over uneven roads.
Take it to the jet boat meet ups and poker runs
@@phoenixarizona8441 are there any of those near SW Missouri?
Looks like a old 70's jet boat
I LOVE YOUR PROJECTS!!
Thank you
It's Amazing !!!! you caught a fish... lol
Been waiting for more videos of running in the river. Here it is.
This video gets me so hyped up to build a jet jon

Love the colours 😊 Boat is looking good 👍🏴😁✌️
How fast is your Bimini rated for
35mph
All of the G-body 4-doors and wagons had fixed rear windows. This car has a '79 grill, are you sure it's a '78?
First 🖥 🎉.... Trim tabs👍 It will be good to see your experiments with the trim tabs and porpoising.
What do you prefer? LT1 or 350 vortic?
I prefer the LT1, if you are leaving the engine stock the LT1 makes more power and gets very good fuel economy.
@@lean-tocustoms7910in LT1@@lean-tocustoms7910
I just sent the same one back because it looked so ridiculous
😂😂

sounds amazing

Hombre, I laugh because I can see EVERY one of your "catastrophes" happening to me! Hats off to you for daring to take on a unique project. LOVE IT!!
Wonder why only 18 mph ?
It was trimmed up to high and porpoising really bad.
@@lean-tocustoms7910 Gotcha, my airboat does that cause the botton 4ft from the transom isnt level
