Also, paths were people travel on horses, they do get quite deep. In a place I went, the path was so much deep that you would not see the horse below it's back level. The soil contained a lot of sand. Anyway, yes MC plain biome needs an upgrade.

I noticed you had some replay flashing. I might recommend using Distant Horizons to reduce the jarring. It will still be a little wonk, but not at much. You just have to remember to copy the "LODs" into the proper replay folder yourself.

That is an excellent new biome! I'm interested to know what the green lines on the rocks mean from a lore stand point. Something to consider if they were only aesthetic so far. As far as blocks, are they moss?

I know this is a month old by now BUT I will day YES building mountains and terrain like this is very valid, and its impressive, and I've used it before, BUT there is a much easier way to do it and you can port already existing worlds into this software as well but WorldPainter is the best tool for terrain, adn maybe you already used it, but its pretty easy to use just get a few custom brushes form Planet Minecraft or what ever site you trust and making terrain is as easy and as detailed as that, anyone can do it but you can get some incredibly beautiful terrain
